They have no need to.
MSQ roulette rewards were not a daily freebie to level with. They're payment for sitting through a lot of long cutscenes in order to help new players progress their MSQ. Unfortunately players felt entitled to the payment without actually doing the job, resulting in first having to make the cutscenes unskippable and now reducing them to 4 player content, because players would take the payment and rush through without caring at all about the sprouts they were being paid in tomes and exp to help.
I'm quite certain they'll nerf the rewards and the overall playerbase fully deserves it.

You must be fun at parties.

The "majority deserving it" part is a bit harsh but the overall point is correct. The reason for the high rewards (large number of people needed for a long and undesirable duty) is being reduced or removed. It would be nice if they can add some new roulette types to fill the gap but I don't think they'll be doing anything with the generous rewards of this one again.
I would not be surprised if the cutscenes become skippable again and a note added recommending that the player use trusts if they want to see all the story at their own pace. If the dungeon structure is actually reviewed, they might even shift some cutscenes into mid-fight voiceovers.
The mention of addressing eight-man content in 7.0 (aside of raising the possibility of story mode Coils at last) could also potentially lead to them rebuilding one or both stages of the Ultima Weapon fight as a trial and cut that – and the related cutscenes – away from the Praetorium running length.
If this affects Mentor Roulette as well, then praise the Twelves!
One thing I'd love to see in addition to trusts that I really hope they one day implement is being able to do a trust party with friends. Like if me and one other person want to do a dungeon together we could have the option to fill in the other two slots with trust members. Or if there's three of us, just take one trust member.
Mostly I want to do this because some of the earlier content is very easy and some of my friends have lamented how much parties tend to blaze through it and wanted to experience the game in a more appropriate manner. Trusts go a long way to fixing this, but being able to do a mix of playing with a couple friends and trust filling in while doing things at min ilvl would be neat.

This is my #1 desire with Trusts. I'd love to get my hubby back in and have him able to duo with me and have the Trusts and I carry him through the story so he gets to see it.One thing I'd love to see in addition to trusts that I really hope they one day implement is being able to do a trust party with friends. Oh my. I have to finish leveling my healers fast before they implement this Change. MSQ Roulette was always the only way for me to get my Healers to max level XD.

They better not nerf the experience gained. Otherwise it’s going to take longer to level

Good. No more freeloaders in MSQ roulette.
