Well, that wasn't pleasant information to receive. I mean, it's good they won't be coming to FF14 but he honestly should have just shut them down in full.

I don't usually agree with Twitch chat but this was one case where the absolute explosion of.. displeasure was well warranted.

It was literally just mentioned on the live letter test broadcast moments ago.
Seemed fairly relevant and warranted to me.

I disagree. Every chance to reiterate just how poorly they will be received is warranted. Because the alternative is letting them think the backlash won't be so bad.

They'll try, they'll fail with whatever game they use it on, and they'll move on.
A lot of businesses are doing this, failing, and either die off or are big enough to struggle onwards. Businesses can't read the room, they just want their new money making scheme.

I'm just happy to know they won't affect XIV.

Yeah, I hopped onto the LftP Twitch stream and was taken aback by all the NFT chatter.

I'm happy that they're not going to affect FFXIV, and couldn't care less what he does with them outside of that; if I don't like it, I won't buy those games/products.

The fact that he saying that(interest in NFT's) its not just the CEO saying stuff to shareholders. There's a discussion going on behind the scenes. 14 isn't the only fan loved IP that Sqenex owns. And if it does decent somewhere else the upper brass might start leaning on Yoshi P to add it here with more fevor.
