Ambient sound issue

Hello there! I have weird issue with ambient sounds being played where they shouldn't.
Upon entering any estate or inn i'm hearing location related ambient sounds (sounds of nature outside said estates and inns). Sounds are different in different locations. And those sounds shouldn't be played in estates and inns. Also i think that ambient sounds become louder a bit, not sure though.
I have tryed "restore" feature and reset system configuration via launcher - none helps in resolving this issue.
Please help.

Does this issue with the sound occur when external audio device such as headphones are used? Additionally are audio and graphics drivers updated as well?

Nope, i'm using external speakers. Realtek as default. Updated via Windows auto-update. Nvidia driver not old, 497.09. Nvidia audio being not used. It looks more like some kind of cache or settings i don't have direct access for, and not as driver problem. Cuz sounds not played during loading screen, and begin played anew when i enter mentioned locations. Also i have checked that when i return from dungeons back to inn room - ambient sound begin played again.

There are orchestrion rolls that play ambient music.
This may be a silly question but have you checked to see if the orchestrion simply isn't playing an ambient sound roll?

Yes, i did. Those orchestrions even not the same as played for ingame ambient sounds.

I've asked my friend and he confirmed that he have the same issue on his system. So i believe it is not on my end, but a bug introduced to us with last patch.

I have this issue as well!

I thought I was going nuts at first. I fiddled with the orchestration, changed music, looked to see if ambient tracks could play alongside the music, but after determining none of that was the culprit, I just figured it was a new thing they added and I just muted my game whenever I entered my house.

Those chirping birds in the background really do drive me batty, when a nice soothing track is supposed to play.

I have this issue as well . No more indoors ambient. Its mostly most disturbing when its raining and u enter a house or sth or cave or w/e , and it doesnt sound anymore like you're under a roof and rains falls over it. It sounds like you're outside in the rain

I've noticed this as well inside my private chambers within my Free Company's house - the problem seems to occur when in the back of the room close to the windows (and it's especially apparent during night time). I have an orchestrion in the room playing music and yet the outside ambient sound effects are still apparent when close to the back wall and windows of the room (amd yes when it's raining it becomes even more noticeable).

It's not a game-breaking fault and it's something I've been mostly ignoring, but seeing this thread made me realize that I'm not the only one who has noticed this.
