    Blitzball

    Anyone think there's a chance of the dev team being able to incorporate Blitzball from FF10 as a PvP mode? I think it could bring a lot of fun to FF14 and maybe even have people do competitive tournaments in the game mode if it were to happen.

    blitzball in real time sounds absolutely horrible. with how the gameplay and netcode is, I feel like blitzball wouldn't really work in this game. plus ffxiv players hate any sort of "competition" (as in the winning team gets rewarded and the losing team doesn't), I feel like it'd end up being Lords of Verminion 2.0.

    I would rather it just be some side quests and instead we get blitzballer as an actual job.

    Never liked blitzball much as a mini-game, but the job fantasy is pretty distinct.
