To be fair their 80lvl set shares the look with the 70lvl set. So overall it's an another loss of unique glamour.I think things are becoming a touch melodramatic here, as there is more glamour gear added in EW than what was made out - besides the winter coat from Tataru there is also the Ancient robe and it's associated pants and shoes given to you as part of the main scenario after you arrive in Elpis (which is the glam I'm using now), and then there is also the unique starting gear sets for SGE and RPR. And for those complaining about gear reskins of dungeon gear, that's been a thing since ARR when even then most dungeon gear was reskins of old 1.0 gear, apart from the level 15 and level 30ish sets, so this is nothing new.
And we didn't get a level 89 dungeon gear set because we got the AF5 set from Tataru's store at level 89 instead with syncable stats once level 90 was reached as part of an experiment on SE's part - same reason there was no final dungeon gear either, that's your AF5 set. Really, this is why glamour is the real endgame, you don't just get it on a silver platter, you have to work for it (by trial and error experimenting with what you have).

Standard missed opportunity rather than a loss, though I have mixed feelings on it.
On the one hand it's an improvement that they get level 80 gear at all – RDM/SAM get nothing at 60 and DNC/GNB nothing at 70 – but now it has set a precedent for just reusing the starter gear instead of a second design, which is disappointing.
I've posted before that I'd really like to see all these later jobs get an extra "unique" outfit at this stage: still recycled models like the starter gear, but it's one more opportunity to give them something that suits the job but might never be given to the role. For example, I'd love to see RDM get the Dravanian DPS set, but those designs have never been applied to other roles. It's unlikely to ever be assigned as "mage gear" but would be perfect as RDM gear and there's a gap waiting to be filled.

Unfortunately this is a matter of opinion rather than a fact. Thus far the only new gear design I did not like was the glam only set from the Treasure maps. The first thing I do when I hit 90 with a class is to farm the hell out of the 73 and 75 dungeons for the gear to have them available for glam, as well as the Moonward sets for tanking and striking, the limbo sets, and I really wish I could get all of the Astronomy sets right away and plan to get as much as I can even before the cap is removed from them.Thing is the gear we do get is not interesting most of the time. They fear to go to something new. Look at pso2 , they do so much different looks. Here it's as if the devs fear to get a bit more creative.
We got so much modern clothes as well. It's not bad but not creative at all, not even a ff14 spin like they did in the past.
Now, I will grant you that the glam only gear has gotten a bit too modern, and there has been a slight decrease overtime in what we get at launch. That said I have my suspicions that the every increasing number of AF sets they have to do for the ever increasing number of jobs is likely the drain on that.
I think the worst part is the starter/80 gear for sage and reaper aren’t even dyable. I really don’t understand how difficult it is to make a few reused sets dyable. At this point it just seems like pure laziness to me.Standard missed opportunity rather than a loss, though I have mixed feelings on it.

I just want them to relax the stupid class lock for glams. There is literally no point in the hand/land sets if we can't wear them.

I made a post specifically asking about the DoH/DoL gearsets in the Q&A thread. I think it's more productive to ask for small specific things than "please unlock everything" which they reject as a whole.
Also reminded them about making more replica/dyeable gear seeing as they made an official thread asking for people's thoughts on it years ago and very few of the requests have come to anything.
This bothers me as well, I don't know why they keep making unique DoH/L sets as well when we simply don't have enough plates to make use of them.
I know they sell replicas of the DoH/L gear in the Korean version of the game so it's definitely possible, ideally they'd be available in game though and not on the Mogstation.
Hopefully they'll answer your questions.I made a post specifically asking about the DoH/DoL gearsets in the Q&A thread. I think it's more productive to ask for small specific things than "please unlock everything" which they reject as a whole.

New glamour isn't really that bad.. but.. the space is the real big big BIG problem. If you buy stuff from the store you can't fit it all into the dresser. It would be a big relief if you can put all Shop-Glamour into the armoire... With that 400 slots are manageable..

Regarding all the talk about gear re-use, I've taken the time to compile the data across all four expansions.
This is looking at gear from a WAR point of view.
Explanation below the image.
Link if images doesn't load: https://imgur.com/gallery/8JVr3JK
Purple: First time the gear model was used, never used since
Green: First time the gear model was used, later re-used
Blue: Re-used gear, but role-swapped
Yellow: Gear re-used on same role
For the re-used and swapped gear, I've listed the name of the original item.
Not including AF, tome or raiding gear as they even out across the expansions. While HW AF gear was tome2, the expansion did have the crafted Chivalric Coat set that was unique at the time (re-used in 3.05).
This does not look at dye, only gear models.
Based on this, we can see that the amount of new gear models is lowering from expansion to expansion.
