I just wish I could blacklist certain instances, with a cap of three.

I hate doing CT because they're boring, and I hate the third nier raid because of eye strain. I'd take every stripper into WoD daily if it meant I never had to see those three instances again.

Not wrong. I never said people didn't leave. I said it doesn't take more than a minute or two to get the party filled back up when it happens on Aether. I keep join in progress on. I'm usually one of those people filling it back up. It is very rare on my DC to get a Castrum run where we stay small without people slotting in. So it's not really affecting the run if people do leave. Those who stay and join in progress types balance out those who instantly bail.

I'm... way too tired to engage on a big argument so this will be extremely summed up.

People => Leaving because they have "a problem".
You => "I have no problem with them leaving because someone joins quickly."
You having no problem => No problems!

This is your logic, 90% of you posting in this thread. Just... just... ugh.

the amount of people who defend the straight up bad design SE decides to make and then never touch again is just crazy lol. People shouldn't have incentive to leave Castrum to begin with not that "oh dw the party can fill up fast!" Like c'mon y'all dont see a problem with people eating the penalty multiple times until they get Prae?

No, I don't because what's your solution? We've discussed this to death in other threads.

They can't make the rewards even because the time expenditure isn't even right now. So you'd just get the opposite problem of people fishing for Castrum instead of Prae and bailing on Prae. Like someone said, one is good while people are leveling up and one is good for tome runs.

They can't force people to stay. There's a penalty now for leaving. It doesn't hit everyone that leaves after that point, but making it do so just seems overly punitive. The first person to bail can't queue again for 30 minutes but the rest still have to go sit in another queue. And if they have join in progress on, they may just end up back where they were again.

What exactly do you want them to do? I would much rather run Castrum with a team that either wants to be there or accepts that was the hand they were dealt that day and rolls with it than someone who will just go afk because they couldn't bounce like they wanted to.

You have a pretty funny idea about what an "incentive" is.

If I have an hour to be online, and want to run through MSQ Roulette for the XP, am I incentivized to take the 30 minute penalty for a non-guaranteed chance to run Praetorium? Quite the contrary.

If I can be online for a whole day, and want to run through MSQ Roulette for the XP, how am I incentivized to take the 30 minute penalty for a non-guaranteed chance to run Praetorium? Am I supposed to enjoy the 15-20 minute queue times on top of the penalty? What happens the third time I get Castrum in the queue?

There is no "incentive" to leave Castrum in the hopes one can get Praetorium 30 minutes later.

lmao dude i don't have a solution better than anyone else here than either to get rid of msq entirely and make it solo-able with trusts or whatever, that's not my problem to figure out anyways.

and i'm aware of the penalty and that you can't force people to stay thanks, dude idc if people leave midduty or whatever it's not my decision on whether or not it's justified, i don't blame people for leaving & and i understand why, i'm just saying it's stupidly bad design on SE's part to let it stay like this

ok tell that to the multiple people who straight up say they take the penalty a bunch of times for prae since the xp is just that much more. idk what other word to use other than incentive, english isn't my first language but go ahead and be overly picky on my wording even though you and everyone else knows exactly what i mean lmao

Complaining about MSQ roulette is just beating dead horse, YoshiP already mentioned in December they are making changes to those instances. Just they haven't said what and when it'll happen in the 6.x series.

The devs have said they're looking at some changes to MSQ. A Trust version is probably the way to go and means that on any DC where the roulette is a bottleneck for new folks, it won't be a bottleneck. It also allows a new person to go through at their leisure and take everything in without being rushed.

That also doesn't mean they can't keep the current roulette. There are already plenty of vets running it. And if they made cutscenes skippable again, they would have to drastically lower the rewards back to what they were previously. Plus Prae conversations are great. I had a run the other day where the whole party was making egg puns the entire time.
