Whilst your heart is in the right place OP, remember , its was too much for some folk to navigate a small area to find fuel and escape a desperate situation in a weakened body of a Garlean soldier whilst our actual body was possessed by that Sepiroth wannabe making his way to ruin our pals over at our winter camp for Garlean refugees club.

Imagine expecting the players that requested an easy mode in MSQ duties , the above mentioned in from the cold mission getting its easy mode , made even easier , to navigate the seas of a new expansion which requires compass observations in order to not get lost on the winds of change.

I think they would have an aneurism if SqE dared to make something as "detailed"

Well, they could always just make it so that the MSQ routes are easy enough and can be auto-routed, and leave the difficult stuff to side content post-MSQ.

I mean flying or boating around an overworld is kinda of a FF staple. Would be cool to see in ffxiv especially if we get to customize our ships, more so if they act like personal homes.
