Patch 6.2 released and I still don’t understand why this isn’t an optional… well, option. It’s not critical for every single Sage player to have this shown.

I have just started dabbling in Sage and find this baffling too. It's nonsense; I can clearly tell when I'm going to get the buff and half of my screen already lights up with the same information when it procs. I have never once found myself looking at the (minimum size) Eukrasia icon to confirm this and it's just clutter for the sake of making the job seem more complex than it is. It's even worse than the Aetherflow one for SCH which (after coming back from a few years away, having been used to checking the icon) feels wholly unnecessary. Some jobs don't need multiple gauges. Sage is one of those jobs. Being able to turn off clutter in the UI would be much appreciated.

It's simple, really. They (likely) can't selectively choose which jobs might get a "hide job gauge" option, it would have to be available for every job. And, rather than risk clueless players disabling them without knowing what they are or what they're for on a job that actually benefits from them, leaving them playing said jobs half blind, they simply don't give any job that option.
Basically, players that feel they do not want or need particular job gauges are inconvenienced less than hypothetical players that might turn off something crucial.

I have my UI element on the right and buffs on the left (for raiding). I like it. I just wished the UI would incorporate more like Firestarter for BLM etc.
As an aside, I don't get why we have *two* UI elements. Why can't it be one? That being said, I like the artistic flourishes, so I never use the simplified versions.
