Another Nier collab

Never played nier reincarnation, don't know much about it, took a quick gander at the characters and some of them have nice hairstyles, I wouldn't mind the outfits they are already more diverse than Automata.

With that said this collab is probably not going to be a raid but more like the Noctis event.
Imo events involving other IP's should be like that and not Alliance Raids or other similar content.
I love Yoko Taro's games tho so I'd be very happy about seeing more.

I can't see a raid series coming out of a collab with a mobile game. Probably will be a short term event if anything at all appears in ffxiv. FFXV got it's part of the collab first and they were kind of vague about what, if anything would happen in FFXIV at first. So far only the Nier twitter is mentioning it.

I finally got around to playing the two newest Nier games after the raids, I... was pretty disappointed. Does not live up to the hype. Like a teenager trying to be deep and existential.

Please no... i hope this is a one sided collab. The nier raids were an absolute flop and the story sucked and we really dont need even more feminine gear.

Same here. The last thing I want to see is more of that game in XIV. I like Nier, but if I want more of it I'll go play it. Don't need any more than we got in XIV.

How exactly it was a flop and sucked? Or was it that for you?

For starters they didnt even give us a 9s coffer glam set for males so that we'd have both a male and female set. Instead we got a solely female set. Secondly the story was a mess. If you havent played any of the nier game like me, the only thing you can understand is the story in 14 and it was no different from every other collab...aliens wow. All this build up and all the hype from people hyping up all these dangerous elements and in the end we just got naked woman after naked woman boss fights and loli girls. no ty.All of this is my opinion ofc.

Is this another crossover? When I heard about this news the 1st thing that popped in my head was that this would be Nier's side of the collab this time.

NieR Reincarnation is a mish mash of story gacha mobile game, so I'm really not sure what to expect here, while the characters in it are well designed as far as I know most stories are disjointed so I guess this'll be way different, maybe a "mama" minion or something?
