



The sad part is even with a 20 invuln, you'd still die because the healers forgot to heal it... (or didn't want to because MUH PARSE)

If that was aimed at me, it wouldn't be superfluous because it would allow you do to things that having the shield after would not, e.g. standing in bad without getting a damage down.
That said I do like your solution as well as it would address the immediate healing requirement after the effect ends that DRK is not too good at dealing with by himself.
At this point the most realistic change to ask for in a patch would simply be:
"Grants the effect of Living Dead. When HP is reduced to 0 while under the effect of Living Dead, instead of becoming KO'd, your status will change to Walking Dead and Doom.
Duration: 10s
While under the effect of Walking Dead, most attacks will not lower your HP below 1. If, before the Walking Dead timer runs out, HP is 50% restored, the Doom effect will fade. If 50% is not restored, you will be KO'd."
Basically a simple buff without changing the identity. You only require half the amount of healing and you no longer lose the invuln when healed.
That would be fair.
It would make AST, SCH and SGE have a chance at saving a DRK without burning every resource/cooldown they have.
Also if we had a way to see how much healing is required to remove it or some sort of notification to show the healing requirement is met.
Something like the Tick/Cross from the hot/cold boss in Delubrum Reginae or the face boss in that one level 90 dungeon.

Congrats, they read this thread.I don't need to go into detail on how horrible living dead is and why, I'd hope. Lets get straight to it
Upon reading a bunch of different ideas on how Living Dead may be changed, we have a big, open blank notebook of endless possibilities if we want to make it unique to DRK, and after thinking and editing a fair bit, I think this is how I would change it.
Living Dead:- Grants the effect of Living Dead. When HP is reduced to 0, instead of being KO'd this puts you under the status of Walking Dead and grants the effect of Soulripperduration:10sWalking Dead: Your HP cannot go below 1, and you are shielded for 50% of your maximum HP.duration:8sSoulripper: Enshrouded in darkness, you make a last stand and go berserk, ripping life force out from your foes. HP is restored with every attack successfully delivered.
Cure Potency: 400Duration: 8s
This removes the death penalty and has some safeguard to prevent dying after the expiration. Although this may be on par with Warrior with holmgang due to the outrageously high sustain WAR has even outside of its invuln. The 8s duration prevents it from being arguably better than Hallowed Ground by a mile and then some, and could be made 6s for balance if need be
