Can SE just put the Retainer Fantasia to vendor already?

The price of Retainer Fantasia on MB suddenly rise up because that thing locked behind Venture Coffer now... Can they just sell those via vendor instead?

Quick ventures used to just give them randomly directly. I don't think coffers we're always a thing? I haven't been doing quick ventures since EW dropped though.

Anyway yeah be nice if you could grab them off a vendor. Or just... pay the retainer vocate.

before Venture Coffer introduced (Probably around 5.5?), Retainer Fantasia was from usual Quick Venture, now it's locked behind Venture Coffer. So now it's RNG behind RNG...

Ah. I started back up right before 5.5ish and hadn't played since HW before that so I have no idea when they introduced them. Didn't level retainers til after then.

With the introduction of Venture coffers retainer fantasia and uncommon dyes have become quite rare.

As others have said above, the quick venture overhaul (which introduced venture coffers) pre-dates Endwalker, and it's impossible to work out what the probabilities were before and after at this point.

One thing my FC mate mentioned: the introduction of male viera probably triggered a mass purchase of retainer fantasias around Endwalker launch. This could be the cause of the big price spike more than any changes to the drop rate, and now, as the low drop rate causes the items to trickle back to the market board, the price has been gradually going back down since. It does seem to fit the situation.

I do like the idea of using MGP or other currencies that they don't introduce anything new for as a way to get the item.

(Off-topic a bit: Ever since they overhauled the quick venture loot pool and introduced the venture coffer system about a year ago (?), quick ventures have become SO boring. You used to get a much wider variety of stuff, including crafter and gatherer gear. Now, as far as I know we usually just get things like dungeon drops, poetics gear, some assorted knickknacks (housing items), and the very rare coffer. Maybe other things but that's my impression.)
