One thing I really hated about the Hildibrand questline

For the record, I'd like to start with saying that I don't mind all the slapstick and absurdity that goes on in these. Heck, they are pretty entertaining almost all the time.

Except, well, there is one aspect of these quests that I really hate. It's all the massaging scenes. There are so-damn-many. And they always make it sound extremely sexual in the context of the quest, tooltips, quest descriptions and so on. I find it uncomfortable. It feels like I am being made to perform a sexual favor on someone without having a choice on the matter (as long as I want to see the end of the Hildibrand story). Just rubs me the wrong way.

Couldn't the quests be changed so the WoL can make a choice between handing out sexually suggestive massages and not handing them out? In most of the situations there are numerous NPCs standing around which could be asked to perform the deed in my stead. Sometimes they even suggest that they want to, but then they make me do it anyways.

Well I guess one thing to note is if are adventuring gig does not pan out we can fall back on opening a message parlor, seems like we have the magic touch.

On topic: Eh, not only do I not mind a video game making me do funny or suggestive things, I quite expect these things to be present in this game. It's the whole ESRB "T: SEXUAL CONTENT" warning that pops up every time I launch this game that kinda warns me things like this will be in this game.

Also, in this game I regularly kill other living creatures, including humanoids, and I feel no different than I normally do. That being said, if violence didn't make me uncomfortable, but rubbing massage oil into an NPC did, I'd take stock of my priorities.

It's just a massage, to be honest. Is it suggestive? Yeah. But the relevance is in the term: the activities are suggestive of something further. Where you take that in your mind is up to you. Rubbing massage oil into another human's body, even when they are "ooh-ing" and "aah-ing" at the rubbing, isn't inherently sexual. Anyone who has been to a spa or received a full-body massage can attest to that.

If they had you doing these massage scenes with a scantily-clad female, would you feel the same? Be honest, now.
