[Suggestion] Right-click -> Report Phishing (QoL + Increased Account Security)

I would like to suggest a Quality of Life feature that would also give us Increased Account Security.


Right-click -> Report Phishing


I received an ill /tell last night for a "300M Raffle Giveaway" pointing to a cloned forum where of course they would ask your credentials and can also get your IP address which could result in other type of attacks.


Producer Yoshida doesn't make it easy to report this type of fraud in-game and Right-clicking -> Report Phishing would be a great addition.

They have it for RMT, Phishing would be a good addition to that list.

When I got one of these tells, I sent a report to the GM support desk and they told me to use "report RMT" on these reports instead of "report harassment" instead in the future. I guess they consider it the same thing?

Most likely reason is because the accounts that get compromised for that typically lose all their gil, and it goes to the RMT sites to sell and make a profit off of.

Well, as long as they don't mind the reports going as RMT then fine but I would still like an official statement from the community representatives or Game Masters to be sure.


To leave a record they allow reporting Phishing acts as RMT.

Considering it's most likely shady RMTers hijacking these accounts, I just report them for RMT.

They really need to just expand it to encompass all the manner of common offenses like botting and hacking as well.

There are specific red flags largely common to each type of offense that you shouldn't need to be typing up individual reports for each and every violation you see.
