frontlines ?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but I think frontlines is unhealthy for the ff14 pvp community. don't get me wrong it is a good game mode, however, the fact that it requires 72 players AND it is in roulettes makes it so the other game modes are barely even touched. I personally love pvp in any game and I have yet to be to experience any other game modes due to insane que times, which has in turn turned me off from ff14 pvp as a whole. not to mention, the fact that frontlines is in roulettes means that many players are just playing for the rewards and not even trying, and why should they? they get the rewards whether they win or lose so it doesn't matter if they try or not. I think removing frontlines from roulettes are even adding another game mode into roulettes would at least be a step in the right direction.

I don't like when people say ff14 pvp is bad without even trying it, but you cant really blame them when its pretty much impossible to get into any of the other game modes without joining a discord server to find a party.

they added a frontlines roulette because it was dead otherwise. That's why people want roulettes for Rival Wings too because outside of mogtome events or specially community driven initiatives RW is also dead.

Frontlines is alive because it's in a roulette... It's not "unhealthy" or such nonsense, the devs simply push no incentives for other modes.

Very very wrong, otherwise we'd at least see some rival wings, but it's not the case, even when waiting for 30min+. If anything you might want to complain about the roulette being frontlines only. The game mode has nothing to do.

they just need to make it a pvp roulette and include rival wings too. then cut frontlines to 48 players, 72 is already too much for those tiny maps.

I really like the idea of an 48 Player Frontlines.

And yes, having inactive players or players that even work against your team by feeding on purpose is bad for the mode.

Frontlines had decent pop rate before roulette and xp was added. It was just at set time of day. That was also with the "lore" locked GC's. Was it nearly as popular now, no not even close. But it wasn't exactly dead.



I think people over estimate rival wings. When it was only mog tome pvp and was popping instantly. I just didn't do it. I don't enjoy the mode at all. If it had some spectacular reward, like similar to epic alex. I would suffer through it. I think of rival wings like MSQ even when the reward is too good to pass up it is a pass anyways.

Rival Wings instantaly popped for maybe a few days, and then nothing, even with the event going on I couldn't get into a single one on Chaos.

See even mogtomes don't get people to play and it is top 3 fastest to farm. Putting it into roulette could risk confusing (more then they already are) players and alienating some casuals. Short of ground breaking item it will always be a pass for me.
