Pseudo Petition to give this NPC a name.

So, I've been doing the Tank role quests and noticed something, semi-odd. Throughout the quests we deal with an NPC we've know for quite some time, Kan-E-Senna's personal bodyguard, The Keeper of The Entwined Serpent. But, for as long as we have known him, we don't know his name. And even through all of these quests, we still never learn his name. I kinda wanna know what his name is.

So for my own sake I started calling him Kiefer, since it sounds close to Keeper. I know it's dumb, but maybe if enough people show interest, this supporting NPC can get a name. For a full name, my thought is Kiefer Braid, since braid means entwine. But let's see what others think. Is it a decent name?

He and that Xaela caretaker from the Inn at Journey's Head both stand out to me as awkward examples of NPCs who make repeat appearances but never get a name for whatever reason.

It's particularly awkward because a lot of NPCs never specifically say their names or introduce themselves but nonetheless have one just for the sake of making them less generic.

I propose that we name all of these 'should have a name but doesn't' characters Gary.

All of them, individually, Gary. If you think that's going to be confusing, you have to remember: none of these characters ever get enough plot autonomy to actually cross paths, so two Garys will never share a scene.

I'm reminded of the DRK questline in its entirety assigning names to every one-off NPC who happened to show up more than once on their second appearance—and in one case, assigning a different name to an already existing character in a roundabout fashion. The false Griffin reveal in Stormblood was just a bit weird, in hindsight.

EDIT: Contrast the Reaper questline, where every single NPC other than Orcus is part of Drusilla's found family, but only two of the six/seven? you end up meeting are named. Conservation of detail, I guess, but one of those named characters ended up not mattering much anyways.

And it's not the one who was murdered by Orcus.

I'm pretty sure it's intentional that the Keeper of the Entwined Serpents doesn't have a name. He was a Garlean conscript saved by Kan-E-Senna that feels like he has a life debt to the Elder Seedseer. I just figured he abandoned his name when he dedicated himself to protecting and serving Kan-E.
