I can only assume you had personal experience with seeing it in action during Alpha, as the only source I can find of the Odin cape being on a player is a video that has a NIN wearing it (which didn't exist until 2.4).

Man peoples memories aren't what they're used to be! lol jk it's a muddled history I guess.
Odins cape existed in ARR's alpha (and maybe beta?) test phase. It had full cloth physics and looked amazing.
It was cut for release with the cape just gone, and no cloth physics in the game. Most people believe it had to do with the PS3 support being able to compute it properly.

Myself im a new player all together per se, still sprout status but I do have the full set because I ABSOLUTELY love Odin lore in FF and what not.

My thing about the Cloak was I saw old videos showing the cloak and i was hoping the Fate rewards would have it but it did not.

That being said there is a notable difference in the armor from the fate tokens vs the duty greens. The Blue Fate Rewards are bulkier in appearance and different tinting though subtle, once you actually notice it you wont wanna go the Boot Leg green set for your tank.

But yea between the cloak and hoping they do updates on this in the future because this is def a set they can do stuff with. Besides the Sword in the lore is still missing if im correct?
