the appeal isn't an appeal itself, it's to request an appeal.

asking for an appeal isn't asking for a tribunal to be held, they aren't going to hold FFXIV court. it simply says "hey, other GMs. do you agree with this first GMs decision y/n".

if they live in europe or play in a server located in europe they can request what data they have on the user but throughout the thread they have refused to even acknowledge this as an option which leads me to believe they know exactly what they did wrong and just don't want to admit it.

i mean if they don't live in EU they're SOL then, and I've heard that even in EU it's harder said than done to collect data that way, but idk about that I live in the US so it doesn't apply to me

anyway idk I believe the OP on not knowing what the griefing report was based on entirely, tbh. out of all the things they've said that appears to be the most consistent statement throughout the thread IIRC, and usually their policy is not to tell you anyways so 100% plausible the OP wouldn't know what exactly what they did was considered griefing, attitude of the OP aside.

Exactly how have I treated anybody like garbage? I don't harass anybody. I barely even chat! Why is this still being spread? I am so confused. I did not go out and "grief" anybody. So ridiculous. I don't care if it wasn't a ban, yes it was a slap on the wrist, but this is a blemish on my account, and it won't go away for a long time. It's.. distasteful, and annoys me quite a bit, but there is nothing I can do about it.

yeah obviously where did I state that ignorance isn't an excuse?? they should still show you logs or a more defined reason lmao cmon man like even league shows you logs when you've been overly toxic in chat. it's not a secret that SE hands out very vague reports that is up to the offender to figure out, but when you play the game like every day and do duties every single day and then get sanctioned for a report months ago or more recently, ngl I have a crap memory I wouldn't remember wtf I would do to get reported.

I have personal problems? Yet, I still am not going around and reporting people in-game for stupid reasons that I will forget about in the next roulette. I think it takes a special kind of person to put someone's account at risk for a difference of gameplay or something. I can AT LEAST understand people reporting others for actual harassment, stalking, and that sort of stuff, but this is just laughably ridiculous.

I have done thousands and thousands of runs over the years, hundreds of runs since EW - one run blends in with another. Like I've said before, I don't even post the vast majority of my runs in the vent thread. I have no way of knowing what was the problem here.
