You are right, I do when so many of the people on this forum are so selfish and nasty. I want a cleaner game just like I hope others do too.

Is it selfish and nasty to leave a duty when I know I won't be able to perform at my best for whatever reason? Or rather, is it the opposite, when I'd rather a group have someone who won't drag them down. I regularly leave duties when I know that, for whatever reason, I will not be able to perform at my best. Be it through sheer laziness, tiredness, chronic illness flareups, what have you.

Though, just for this, if we ever get in a group together I will be absolutely, possitively, 100% sure to not leave for whatever reason. Even if I have to take my entire PC build with me to the bathroom!!!! Since, y'know. Leaving is selfish. And I definitely don't want to be selfish!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh no!! I can even see the conversation play out now!!!!!

    Me: "GTG, stomach stuff srry."
Me: "Oh wait, it's selfish and nasty to leave!!!"
ME: "Give me 30 minutes, I have to unplug my PC and plug it in to the bathroom RQ, just wait right here :P"

Leaving is selfish, when you don't explain the purpose of leaving and just up and leave. Most people, would be kind enough to wait. I would. I've only cared when people say "one sec" and then are gone for 5 minutes. Then I proceed to vote kick, because they weren't honest or didn't care enough to give us a realistic estimate of how long we should wait. If someone said, "one sec, I need to run to the restroom" or some variation of that to let us know something is up, then I'm cool with it.

Also, if you know you can't perform, then you perhaps shouldn't be joining. Obviously, you are throwing that out there to be vague and cast a large net of people that may have legitimate reasons for not being able to perform such as disabilities to make your argument stronger. I've had people join and say they had a disability. They made it through half the dungeon or it was so long ago that I don't remember if anything was said or whatever, but they just left. I had no reason to be upset. They were forth coming and for whatever reason felt they couldn't continue. That isn't reportable, but leaving because single pulls or whatever you are annoyed about from your other party members, is selfish.

"Hiya! Someone who frequently leaves duties here, be it because the playstyle of the participating players does not agree with mine, or because I've suddenly become unable or unwilling to play at the moment, or because I've become sick, or am too tired for a particular duty, or just don't want to see Livia's face for the 6th time in a week. I also leave multiple duties a day, sometimes! (Chronic illness is a bish)"

I suffer from rapid onset migraines. It becomes a sudden pain to look at my screen. I have a mouse macro that I click to leave duties when that happens, so it'll click for me. I'll then spend the next three hours bent over a toilet in my dark bathroom. Shouldn't have to say anything.

I think it's really selfish to think you are owed an explanation whenever someone can't perform at their best for whatever reason. It really shows a self-centered, "mememe" view of the world.

I absolutely will not enable single-pull tanks in any content above level 50, if I carry them then they would go on to slow down another player's run down the line. 2 packs per pull shows me that you're at least trying, wall to wall is ideal, but only one per pull? Even Thancred can survive multiple packs at a time, so why should I enable them when an npc is performing better?

I usually push them along silently and sometimes they get the idea and start pulling more, or the run descends into total chaos because of the mistaken notion that tank=leader. In the latter case, I have no reason to facilitate their progression until they grasp the fundamentals of their role, and learn to respect other people's time.

The bait is strong with this one. A simple "not feeling well, gtg" would suffice. You can easily add that to your macro.

Even though you are trying to continue to pick a fight that was ultimately about "stop trying to make the ToS fit your narrative", I, on a human-to-human level, hope that you find some relief with your personal ailments as most all of us have some form of those.

No one owes you an explanation, is the point I am trying to make. It is selfish to expect everyone to bend to your will and cater to your extremely neurotic need to feel in control of all situations. If someone needs (or wants) to leave, they will leave.

Ultimately, you can, and probably will, report everyone who leaves suddenly. That is your prerogative. But expect nothing to be done because, as you have just said, "stop trying to make the ToS fit your narrative." Just because someone says nothing before they leave does not mean they've broken ToS. The ToS is written in such a way as to specifically indicate misuse of external functions to facilitate "Leaving the GAME" or "disconnecting."

But I hardly expect you to recognize that, when you're so blatantly trying to twist everything to be about trolling and stalking and deliberation.

This respecting other people's time thing is a really weird one for me. I've said it myself, but I feel like reading it here on the forums always is just so negative. I've mentioned it in PF EX duties where people join and don't know mechs. Where the PF says "know mechs", you queue in and 100 tomestone bonus pops. I don't feel like it is wasting my time in roulette content when the sole purpose is to fill a spot. There is a difference (and I also think you can tell) when people are being lazy. That's a different story, but I don't get upset with tanks that are learning or just aren't aware that they can handle multiple pulls.
