Even if you're not in the EU, SE should still be bound by the CCPA and GDPR anyway so that same move theoretically would work.Not sure but EU laws require transparency.
Know of at least one case where someone got banned, they refused to tell them the reason for it, and when confronted with law they told them after the ban period was up. Withholding that information isn't permitted here.
Just like we're able to have a website expunge all information they have on us.
