This is absolutely not true. I used to get them all the time from the group maps because they were the only maps I did for the entirety of SHB before EW with my FC.

You let me know when you see one and I'll step down from my apparent hot take. Loot pools were changed at some point. Maybe that was when you were getting shell leather from group maps.

I've been repeatedly doing quite literally hundreds of level 80 maps for shell leather with my FC. I'm not even joking, we've done a hundred-odd of them now.

We made it to the end ONCE and not a single one of the maps has dropped a single thing of shell leather. It's insane. I am curious if they've done something.

They move loot around after a while, especially the crafting materials as new ones get added. I just had a Shell Leather drop from a Gliderskin map 2 days ago on one of my alts. You may want to give those a try.

Lately decided to run maps with my friends, and every run we did (like 5 days for 3-5 maps per person), and almost half of the time we're getting kicked after the 1st floor. Or 2nd.
