Exploring, things to do most I like exploring

I'm not trying to steer you away from this game and I think the 2.0 maps promise a lot of interesting things to see, but if exploring is your thing I'd check out Guild Wars 2. The city and area design is second to none in any MMO I've played and seen.

Adventure, seeing new things. Something this game hugely lacks and I hope comes back in 2.0!

Having stuff that's interesting to do and not some boring grindfest.
Community can be nice to, though Aegis feels like a ghost town both in games and on the forums.

IMO fun is being able to freely play the way i want with friends and solo. In short, not the current FFXIV.

Trolling other people.
Exploring an interesting and thriving world (Open world content, to really emphasize the 'Massive' in MMO)
Character customization (In both design and class build. Think old THM, you could DPS, support, or even tank if you used the right skills and gear. I'd love to see more of that)
Class uniqueness and dedication (Includes play style and development methods. For instance, in XI, playing BLU meant that as you progressed you would hunt for specific mobs for BLU spells, something no other class did. SMN had solo avatar fights, BLM had to buy magic, etc. They all felt unique, something XIV majorly lacks. Even the job quests are all mechanically similar between classes. As for dedication, I really dislike how every one has ever job capped. A personal opinion of mine, but I prefer to sort of feel 'connected' or 'attached' to a role of choice, and players lose their individuality when there's nothing unique about them. Having a capped job should be something special.)
Wide variety of content with equipment to match (Raids, open world NM's, GC gear, primal gear etc. Basically a type of content for everyone, with a way to progress playing that content. Don't want to hunt hard to claim NM's? Then don't, instead go do the primal fights. It's not the same gear, but it's just as viable for endgame, even if only with a certain build. Things like that)
Emphasis on party play (I know this is a touchy subject, but in my mind, MMO's are not pick up and play games. If you want to play something in short bursts, this is not the genre for you. Should there be solo content? Of course! And we have that already: leves, crafting, gathering etc, all stuff you can do with little prep time, but the vast majority of things should require a party of some sort, it's kind of the whole purpose of the genre)
I dont know
I sometimes question why I play at all !
I much prefer offline RPGs :P
