I agree with this as I have sent my work into the development team recently on this matter...

"
In the ever-evolving landscape of our gaming realm, the introduction of ground way markers, coupled with subsequent additions, has given rise to a rather vexing phenomenon. It has come to my attention that players, without just cause, are deploying an excess of way markers during in-game skirmishes. While I acknowledge the utility of these markers for certain individuals in facilitating the execution of mechanics and aiding in the learning process, their gratuitous use has now reached a point of undue irritation, disrupting the immersive experience and impeding progress through game content.

My proposal is not one of outright removal, but rather the implementation of an option for players, such as myself, to exercise agency over whether these markers manifest in our gameplay. Allowing for the complete deactivation of these markers would grant individuals the autonomy to tailor their visual experience to their liking. Consequently, those who find value in the markers can continue to employ them, while those who seek a more streamlined and focused engagement can do so without the superfluous distraction.

This adjustment aims to alleviate the burden of incessantly clicking the remove button to mitigate visual clutter, a task that currently detracts from the immersive experience. In essence, it strives to strike a balance, ensuring that each player can tailor their gameplay experience to their preferences without imposing an undue struggle on others who find utility in the presence of these markers."
