Strongly agree with this.I mean, if you want to talk about how a character is bad because they did a mass murder, you can't get too salty over pointing out that the so-called savior brought us into existence through genocide as well.
I personally think this should be debated, strictly because the white knights are out in full force over anyone who dares question or criticize endwalker.
When the game's story becomes self-aware:
I have no strong feelings about her either way.
Though since you're asking the question, there's a difference between sundering life so that life can continue at all, and committing genocide to "Make Ethyris great again"
Hot take: Everyone who treats any single side of the conflict as 100% right and the other as 100% wrong is missing the entire point of the story. With the exception of certain minor antagonists like Asahi or Valens, nobody has ever been pure evil in the game.
Valens was 100% good, he just wanted to burn out the bad. :^)
Asahi was merely overcome with lust for a blond chad who never noticed him.
Zenos is pretty much pure evil lol
Just because he's messed up doesn't make him any less evil. No, he isn't. Everyone should read the official story "The Hunt Begins". Zenos grew up alone, unloved, neglected by Varis, abused by his tutor and trained to be the killing machine for an evil empire. Neglect and abuse can do scary things to a person's mind and soul, no wonder he's messed up.
Also, we still don't know what Emet-Selch did to him.
I’ve read the short story. I’m pretty sure it’s mentioned Varis gave him the best teachings he could along with trying to set up playmates with him. The dude was a bad seed from the start pretty sure even the devs say this. They’ve even gone on record saying he’s pure/ultimate evil. Can’t argue with that. No, he isn't. Everyone should read the official story "The Hunt Begins". Zenos grew up alone, unloved, neglected by Varis, abused by his tutor and trained to be the killing machine for an evil empire.
