Here's a real hot take:
People who use terms like Karen means I can probably ignore their opinions. Sorry!
Oh really? Remember New World? Several hundreds of thousands of viewers on Twitch, roughly 1 million concurrent players online at the same time. What happened to that game?
Oh right :

39k players, all time peak 900k. Currently 1.7k viewers on Twitch. LOL. Clearly despite being so popular on Twitch at one point it never managed to break 1 million players (which FFXIV already has despite historically having very little Twitch viewership, at it's peak of viewership in last Summer it only managed a fraction of what New World achieved at it's peak) and is now nearly completely dead. What does this information tell you?No, it just means that Twitch peaks, again, aren't tightly correlative with the quality of a game's design philosophy, especially as such would affect said game's long-term health.
What matters isn't how far New World fell, but at how low of numbers it stabilized.
We are still not quite stabilized, as such, our Twitch numbers won't be any better a representation of the game's quality than, say, week 2 New World. (Naturally, New World's decline wasn't consequent only to design philosophy, but neither was our influx of players.)
We hit a large player influx. The impact of that influx is tapering off, but we're also decently well into a tier by now in a game that offers little other serious combat content, so we won't really have a fair indicator until a patch or two later.

Absolutely wrong and it shows superficial knowledge of the Twitch game, ie only looking at a select few. I could say that most (big) streamers I tend to watch and like will play a game IF they've got an interest in it to begin with, money follows. People are not stupid, and transparency goes a long way on the platform to begin with and build a solid, quality viewership (like most businesses you might say). Not true at all, streamers go where the money is. If something is popular and getting views streamers will make content on it regardless if they are actually interested or not. There are also collaboration streams, sponsorships ect. Don't you find it odd that most people that have been playing the game since launch did not get a chance to interview Yoshi P, but popular streamers just starting the game did? It is all for profit in the end.
HOT TAKE: I over-microwaved this sandwich and now it's too hot to eat right away.
Hot take: I'm too drunk to taste this fried chicken![]()
An actual hot take: Both of the original diadems had excellent concepts but the execution was flawed on the level of eureka only eureka had ff11 fanservice and relic to force people to endure it. If the execution was better then it would have been good side content
Just because someone does not display their main character on the forums does not mean their opinion is less valid.
Авейонд-сны
Hot take: dungeons were never complex or interesting.
