EW SMN is currently one of the worst designed jobs in the game. And the design choices the dev team made are very worrying for future job reworks.

King of the Hill is better then Rick & Morty, Family Guy, South Park, Futurama, Beavis & Butthead, The Simpsons or any other of the animated comedy shows.
Oh no, I'm so scared of older jobs becoming fun. The dev team totally never said that pre-Endwalker Summoner wouldn't be able to keep up with all the changes because of how complicated it was to design and play in the first place, no, not at all...
1: Healing currently is fun and nice. Doesn't need to be anymore complicated or added dps. Just play red mage/dancer.
2: The entire story line would be better if we traveled with a lalafell partner like a side kick.
3: Bard would be better if it didnt revolve around music and instead was just a regular archer class.
4: Dark knight would be better if it was just a regular giant sword class with different elemental attacks. Less dark knight more cloud.

I remember them saying something about not really knowing what else to do with SMN going into EW and that the current design left no room for new skills. They seemed to be out of things to do with the job that would have been more than just updating animations and potencies.
If the solution to the majority being dissatisfied with an entire role is to play another role, that just cements there is something fundamentally wrong with the design of said role.

Since the housing thing is busted stupid I just want to go to a spot in the world and be like "This is my land now".
I claim the bridge in Gridania. It's my bridge. I live under it.
