Yoshi P is about as remarkable of a lead dev as Ion Hazzikostas is for WoW.
Tales of Adventure/One Hero's Journey for limited jobs=You beat the job until the next update.
DEVOUR: Blue Mages Are What You Eat........
The content release "formula" this has game relied on for years now with practically zero deviation has...shockingly, grown stale.
Not sure if hot-take but given the massive volume of people who defend XIV against all criticism, I felt it had to be said.
The thing is this schedule is necessary to keep the updates flowing regularly and having equal amounts of each type of content. It’s very true that the formula is becoming more and more stale tho. Maybe an overhaul could be made but that would inevitably bring some type of delay in the patch cycle and some time for the devs to adjust to it, since rhey are used to do things this way
Don't know if this is a hot take but... This patch's Hildibrand was some directionless unfunny mess. And I usually tolerate the questline, but here it felt really boring. (Only notable part was Godbert's antics during the relic questline.) The main Hildibrand quest already gives the impression they are out of ideas and we're only in the second batch out of five.
Not really a hot take, the opinions on Hildibrand have been split for a very long time.Don't know if this is a hot take but... This patch's Hildibrand was some directionless unfunny mess. If you were to ask just me I think it should've ended in ARR, I find the kind of humor that Hildibrand offers to be unfunny nonsense and my favorite Hildibrand story was it's Scholasticate spinoff in Ishgard.
But some people seem to really like it, so I simply deal with it and skip the cutscenes.
Hot take for me is that I still found it far better than the MSQ we've had the last few patches. At least it was a bit of fun, even if not up to the usual standard.Don't know if this is a hot take but... This patch's Hildibrand was some directionless unfunny mess. I love rpg story but MSQ is just a chore for me lately. I couldn't care less about most of the characters anymore.

I agree, when Newfound Adventure was announced, I was hoping for some more traditional adventuring, something more contained to the world or even just Eorzea. I'm tired of the intensity and all of this world hopping stuff. I feel like after Endwalker ended was the time for a breath of fresh air but it feels like we never got that.Hot take for me is that I still found it far better than the MSQ we've had the last few patches.
