Norvrandt after Endwalker text changes

I was a little disappointed today, as I went to Eulmore to spend some poetics. I talked to Dulia-Chia and it's the same text that has been there since I completed Shadowbringers. I suspect that Lyna has the same dialogue too. It's a super minor thing, but I wish they would react with different dialogue based on the expansion you've completed. I want to tell these people that were affected by my in-game friends what has been happening to them.

Lyna actually does have new dialogue.

Characters often don't get script updates unless they've been directly involved in further plot. If they haven't, they'll generally still be in whatever state they were at the last point they were involved in a quest.

It's not so much that they haven't changed what they're saying over time, but that time hasn't moved forward for them. It's kind of weird but that's the best way to get your head around it.

How would anyone in the First be aware of what happened? There are literally dozens and dozens of NPCs on Eitherys with post-Endwalker dialogue, it's basically very consistent.

It seems like the only notable exclusions in terms of Source-side characters who don't have changed dialogue post-EW MSQ are the ones in instanced areas like Soroban, the auspices, and Gaius as they don't have anything new to say despite making appearances.

Vidofnir is notable as someone who didn't make a direct appearance and isn't a job trainer but has new dialogue regardless.

It's also understandable that a lot of characters on the First wouldn't be so aware of what's taken place. Lyna says Feo Ul told her (I think she says "us" but I don't know if "us" means like, Lyna, Beq and Ryne or the whole of Norvrandt... Guessing it's the former) that the Final Days have been averted. It's conceivable that someone like Dulia who's all the way in Eulmore might not know anything happened at all.

Exactly. We didn't go to Eulmore to go back in time, just the Crystarium. And I don't think we really spread "By the way, the world might end soon in another dimension and it'll destroy you all, too." around much. That seems need-to-know, so only the ones who needed to know are now reacting.

Yeah, I was very surprised that Gaius had no new dialogue. We liberated Garlemald from the Telophoroi and not one mention of it.

Does Feo Ul sending us a Valentione’s Day letter count as a dialogue update? lol

I was honestly kind of disappointed that Feo Ul was the only letter from someone who wasn't in Gridania to begin with, though I suppose they wanted to have someone from ShB get a cameo and they're the only one who can realistically do so given the...distance between the First and the Source.

Moogle mail in general makes it across the rift, though – thanks to the pixies IIRC.
