A Need/Greed All and Pass All button for loot window

Let's say I finish a Nier raid and the loot windows prompts. There are like 12 items, in which I only want the cards. So I select three cards. What do I do with the remaining 9 items I don't need? Manually click Pass on each of them so people who roll on them can get their turn quickly instead of me delaying their rewards for no reason. However, I feel it takes so much clicking around: about 24 clicks to deal with all loots.

Same story if I feel want to manually pass what I don't need and need/greed the rest.

Therefore, I think adding Need/Greed All and Pass buttons would be great. Or at least the Pass All button.

Yes please. I've been saying this for a while.
Theer are so many instances, especially in alliance raids, in which you just want to roll on a few items and pass on the rest, it's way too clunky as it is.
Or say, normal raids, both he old ones where everybody leaves in a hurry not to get stuck with useless loot, or the current ones, both in case you wanna roll on the thing you want and quickly pass on the rest not to risk being screwed on the weekly loot, or if you're there to help a friend and you already got your loot and have to either click pass on all or leave quickly.

    It's a good idea.... I support it.

UX wise it's a bit of a tough one. Too many buttons can confuse people, especially when this area is something people do click at while running through the trash in low level dungeons. So it needs to be very clear and simple. Dual purpose is it also needs to work consistently in low level dungeons as well as high end raids to minimise confusion.

The way I see it is, and this is just thrrowing ideas around, I am not suggesting it's the only way; Maybe, a "Manual/Greed All/Pass All" option that always plays out for all chests but the last bosses. It would be on the cog/preferences area of the duty finder where MINE and small-party hide, and stay for the entire play session, resetting to normal behaviour each login.

Three minute (pulling a number from the air) timers on pre-last-boss chests and an even shorter timer on the final boss, maybe, as that idea on the last chest(s) seemed popular in the other threads. On the final boss, no matter what option was chosen, even pass all, the full UI would show with the three current buttons.

Closing this window on the final boss would trigger an automatic "pass on everything I didn't roll on".

Danger being people who close it accidentally would lose everything, but then, it's close to the danger of clicking pass when you meant need.

This whole loot choosing area could do with a bunch of QOL stuff - and all QOL can be good if it's done right.

Despite my like of the general idea, adding extra buttons wouldn't be optimal in my eyes. Hopefully if they attack this area, they can keep it simple as possible.

More than the "all" buttons, the one thing I'd like to see added is a "less than greed" option for when you don't want a thing and would rather it goes to someone else who does want it, but you'd rather take it than let it drop on the floor.

Right now the only way to achieve that level of the loot hierarchy is by letting the timer run out.

Yeah, this would be great, I feel this way a bout a lot of minions.

What is the general etiquette in this game for collectable items, by the way? I.e., Orchestration Rolls, Minions, etc.? In many games there's the eternal argument of "always Need" if you don't have it yet to avoid ninja looters or "always Greed" to not be a jerk. xD

I'd like to see something that allows me to set rules to the roll. Like "automatically pass on gear from following roles" or automatically pass on drops already in inventory"... you get the idea.

Usually you need on them. If you just greed you'll never get them because everybody greeds.
I greed on the ones I already have and can exchange for something (ex TT cards) just in case nobody wants them.

Would be nice. I hate when I run normal raid roulette and I gotta pass on everything at the end. I just want to hang around and see if people will give me commendations without holding up the looting for other people.

If you want it, then need on it. Unless these are your friends you are playing with, chances are you won't know what they'll pick and someone will just end up needing. The game won't let you roll on minions that you have and cannot sell on the market board.
