    EVERYTHING IS IN SLOW MOTION?

    Hello!

So, I logged in today and noticed that the start up menu (the Endwalker intro screen where you click to log into the game and pick a character) music sounded slowed down and didn't match up with when the beam of light hits the moon and "Endwalker" appears... ok? No big deal... then as I log into the game I noticed that everything is in slow motion?

My character movement, whether I run or walk or sprint, casting spells/abilities and the timers on the spells/abilities, etc. are all slowed down like in slow-motion. However, the only thing that is "normal speed" is when I move the camera around with my mouse. The camera speed is still 60 FPS, but eeeeverything else is in slow motion? What the heck? I tried queuing into an alliance raid to see if it's any different playing actual content, but nope, still slow-motion and every other teammate was in slow-motion too.

I tested this out on other games as well, I have some older 3-D games and even Overwatch on my PC and those all run and play fine, no slow-motion on them, so what they heck could be the problem? I have never had this problem on FF14 before...

Please help someone! I want to finish the story! T^T

Not sure, I haven't updated my drivers in a long time. Not sure how? If I have an AMD graphics card, I just go to their site and find the latest driver to download? o.o

Your computer.... turn it off and then turn it back on again.

Not just an IT Crowd joke; cycling your machine fixes a ton of weird issues. That's why it's become a meme in the tech support community.

    Good luck!

Thank you, but I tried that, I also tried cleaning out my computer with an air pressure can cause it was a little dusty on the inside and nothing. The game still runs in slow motion, but the camera movement is normal (60 FPS)...

OMGSH! Thank you so much for your comment! I went to AMD's site and downloaded their "driver update software" checker thingy and it updated my drivers and made me re-start my computer and when I tried playing FF14 everything is back to normal now! So it was my drivers needed to be updated! I didn't even think to check that, thank you thank you thank you!!! Now I don't have to worry about buying and installing a whole new graphics card... And now I can finish the Endwalker story after 10 long years of playing this game! T^T <3 <3 <3
