All Clown's Wake event 2022- Bright highlighted hair option

Did anyone else notice with the new Halloween/All Clown's Wake event that the clown (Papa Gruff) and his wife (Mama Gruff) both had super bright highlights/new colour tones in their hair that are not available to PC's? I especially noticed it on the lady with the pink hair, the pink/purple tone was super bright and definitely nowhere to be found in character creator.

I hope this is a sign that SE will add some brighter hair colours/highlights/make up colours down the line. I feel like so many of them now are dull (especially the highlights and face paint options).

Did anyone else notice these new hair colours?

Interesting! I looked them up on Garland Tools and they do indeed seem to be using colours from rows beyond what we can access.

By coincidence I made a post asking about this in the Live Letter Q&A thread the other day. We only have access to 24 rows of colours but since the grid reference is presumably stored as a binary number then I assume could be up to 32 rows without changing how much data is stored.

I would LOVE for them to add more hair colors/highlight colors to their current selection. They really need to add more tbh

I gave your post a like on the QA, Iscah. I'd really like skin tone selection to be expanded in general.
For instance, for some reason, male Xaela cannot be a green color. Female Xaela and both Male and Female Raen can be a green color. I thought this choice was odd.
I'd also like expanded skin shades for hyur. What we have is good, but more granular selection is always great!

My hope is that they will expand character creation and hair color will have a color wheel instead of the preset colors, so we won't have limitations when choosing hair color!

That's a different level of request, though. That would require rebuilding the system. Adding more rows that have evidence of already existing out of reach is something they may be able to implement within the current system.

The same thought occurred to me, and I hope it's a sign of what's to come eventually. I would love to have bolder hair options. Particularly in the yellow and pink to purple (which all look especially dull to me) areas, but really anything new and bright would be great.

As I wrote in the Q&A thread post I linked earlier, in addition to getting brighter colours I'd also like to see more dark shades. I'm not keen on the jet black hair colour so for a couple of my characters with dark hair I've wanted to go for very dark shades of other colours instead – but the darkest option for most shades really isn't that dark.

Brown is probably the worst off. Even the darkest shades are only medium brown at most. I wanted dark brown-almost-black and had to settle for purple.
