    Crystals of light post endwalker

Have these lost all their power now? When Midgardsomr removed our blessing of light, the crystals did not fade out like batteries cut from their generator, they just straight switched off like light bulbs.
Since Hydaelyn is dead the crystals of light should all be useless chunks of rock now right?

Fully invite sideline convos on what the crystals of light even do.
My theory is Blessing was vs Tempering, Crystals were for the occasional miracle shield and super powered WoL.

Whether magicks are bound to the life of the weaver or not varies.

Azem's stone was created by Emet-Selch but nonetheless is still functioning despite the fact that he's gone, whilst the fake Archon tatoo Papalymo gave to Yda/Lyse faded not long after he passed.

That said, I think we'll probably eventually ascertain whether or not the crystals and the traveler's ward/blessing of light are still active in the future MSQ bits.

Think the difference with Azmes stone it is was made with creation magic. So more permanent.
Crystals of light should be the same, but we ha e already seen them turn off when cut off from her. So they may be less sources of power and just conduits for her power.

The crystal we got from Hydaelyn is still likely in our possession, probably just doesn't do anything now.

Losing access to a power is different than when the source of that power is eliminated. However, Venat's magic has already shown to not dissipate after she is gone as was the case in Ultima Thule. Whether or not this applies to her blessing is yet to be seen. However, for the longest time her blessing was thought to be a shield that protects us from one-shots, and the echo prevented primal influence. Turns out that was not exactly accurate as her blessing prevents the corruption of aether, while the echo remains a power to look into past and future events. In short, I think Venat was tanking all those one-shots in our place that would've otherwise killed us like Ultima in the Praetorium.

There is no way that the WoL would now be susceptible to tempering now that Hydaelyn is gone. That would make it extremely difficult to progress just about anything as the WoL, so my guess is that her blessing is still active, and will be until either removed by Venat, or the WoL dies, and only one of those is possible now. However, now that she is gone, she can no longer tank damage for us if this was indeed the case.

I am not sure if it counts, but in the trial we actually destroyed her crystals of light, and needed to otherwise we were goners.

The ward wasn't really intended to tank damage, I don't think. Its stated function seems to begin and end with preventing the holder's aether from being fouled. Every instance of it doing something beyond that can be attributed to outside influences. In the case of Ultima, for example, Venat had been directly intervening on the WoL's behalf. In the case of Hades there appears to have either been more direct intervention or some very potent interaction between all that light the WoL absorbed, their newly fortified (via Ardbert's sacrifice) soul, and the ward. Given some of the text in the game regarding the latter, my personal take is that the light interaction is far more probable.

Incidentally, with the current lore, it may well be that the ward is what was truly protecting the WoL from tempering. After all, we've known for a while now that people with the echo can in fact still be tempered, although they are definitely more resistant to it. Particularly gifted individuals may protect others as well. On the other hand we have the WoL, whose outright immunity to tempering clearly extends far beyond the resistance granted by the echo. It wouldn't be a far stretch to simply write it off as the WoL now being far too powerful to be tempered and thus no longer even needing the crystals or traveler's ward.

This is definitely in a state of 'indeterminate until they decide to make a plot point of it'. You can make guesses in any direction on this one, and all of them have some level of narrative value, it just isn't clear which one they might land on.
