if people want to take a 30 minute penalty on a 20 minute duty let them waste there time.

only change msq roulette need is a rework into a solo duty.

Why do players think anyone wastes time when they have penalty. Do you believe the person that has penalty will sit in front of their screen and watch the timer and tell themselves "i was bad ... i need to wait", or just shift a few things? maybe hoover now and not after the duty, maybe earlier dinner?

And even if you dont move stuff in RL, nearly every single activity outside DF is still there, did you do your weekly crafting? How bout some Fates? Or maybe get some GS things done? Decorate your house? Still need some stuff gathered? Play with some Glamours or get your beast tribes done, the penalty stops you from 1 out of 10 things.

If you have penalty you lose nothing, you just shift it and this is why players will always fish unless there is legitimate reason not to, and a 30min DF only restriction is not.

The Problem is the broken exp, why does a 30min dungeon give 50% of my level and a 45min dungeon nearly 100%, add 25% to castrum and its very likely to outright kill this problem ... yet SE has been butchering EVERYTHING regarding MSQ roulette for years on end. The amount of resources put into this again and again is just getting stupid. Just make it a solo duty already, yes mistakes were made with the intense cs's in the duty and we get that it was "new" and they learned from it.

But sometimes its easier to replace something then cover it in more and more layers of ductape.

Honestly, all the things listed to do when you have panelties are either not worth doing or only take a few minutes out of 30. If I get penalty I usually either afk in the meantime, or more likely switch character or log off. Pretty much everything in this game is instanced, I'm pretty sure you can't even do Bozja or Eureka or Ocean fishing with the penalty, not even solo duties for tails. If you have a limited time to play, and that time is taken by the penalty, it makes more sense to play something else than to try and find time fillers in game just cause.

And still, logging off the game and doing something else, tbh anything really, is a better use of time than 30 mins castrum for 30% xp.
