So far what they have revealed have tackled the 2 bigger problems the current mode has: limited rewards and strict roles for the teams. In Feast sometimes healer/melee role throttled the queues cause people didn't want to play the jobs with most responsibilities and the new mode is said to be balanced around any combination of jobs being able to have a fighting chanceAlso the rewards wont anymore be limited to just 100 players but the new battlepass system should bring more people to play it cause you cannot miss a reward if you play.



Just to go into detail for this, the reward structure is going to be like this:
1.) Battle Pass
Essentially rewards you for playing PvP in general, all modes (Crystal Conflict, Frontlines, Rival Wings) will be supported and will encourage play.

Likely to get around Rival Wings having a lower pop rate it might give a bonus for progression of the pass for a specific mode to encourage playing more than just Frontline-and-forget, with a bonus changing per day.

2.) Crystal Conflict Tier rewards
As per Feast, we will receive our usual rewards for obtaining our tier at the end of a season (not to confuse with battlepass "Series"), which are Bronze, Silver Gold Platinum and Diamond most likely.
3.) Top 100 Crystal Conflict
Top 100 is not a system that will be abolished, but it won't be the only way to get more unique pvp rewards compared to wolfmarks.

When they add the new Crystal Conflict mode, all jobs will be completely revamped in how they play. Based on the slides that were shown in the Endwalker preview Live Letter, it seems all jobs will have the same actions and the only unique thing for jobs will be their Limit Break or Adrenaline Rush as they are called in PvP. This revamp will affect Frontline and Rival Wings as well.
Not sure how I feel about all job actions being the same across the board, but who knows.
