Eh, I'm just a person. But people have weird expectations.

Example: Today, someone added me (nearly a month after my post) on Discord in the middle of a work day, then got mad because I didn't give them a reply before the evening. And added a veiled shot at this somehow making me flakey. If not replying during a work day makes someone unreliable, most people probably are.

All in all, this isn't the best place to find people.

I play with my fiance a lot but we met at work.

I've been in small FCs large FCs the works and EVERY relationship I've seen people start in this game, end, in this game. Even the ones that move in together eventually haven't lasted.
I was best friends with the leads in an 500? person FC for awhile, guess what nearly destroyed it after a decade of them playing together? Yea, stupid drama related to things like this entire topic.

The only ones I see fine didn't "start" out their friendship ingame.
Obviously thats not 100% of the time, but over 10+ years of playing? I've not personally seen a single one pan out.
It's nothing but drama honestly.

Lot of it boils down to too much controlling from one person, or the other being overly too damn needy. (The guy you met sounds like both)

For whatever reason most people act way more of either of those in this game then they actually ever would IRL.
The 3rd scenario which isn't too shocking since it's online only is one of the 2 acting like a street walker, lol. (yea guys Im talkin to you too)

Yeah I never took it seriously myself when I posted and figured my post was kinda clear on that with my joking answers. I had 2 respond on discord and they were taking it really seriously.

Got the same experience but in another game

Like I was playing Aura Kingdom at one point and that game's marriage system was a tad too convoluted so at one point I was talking with someone I just met and was like "bro wanna try marrying lol?", mainly because I wanted to see just how horrible the grind would be to finally reach a point to be able to marry

Weeelllll turns out the person I asked to did not think of it as a joke and we went from complete strangers to a couple in less than single day and she was talking about it to her friends already. I pretended to like her for about 2 weeks but frankly I was losing interest in the game and just couldn't keep lying to myself so ended up ghosting


Moral is: people, going from nobodies to a couple in less than 3 days is not gonna work out lol
