Things I enjoy doing in the game: ermmmm I've been grinding the quests to catch up you know, but I quite enjoy doing dungeons, crafting, definitely fates, and I actually enjoy just sitting at gridania listening to the band's.
Goals for the marriage union: I think it's that time to settle down at last, but before that can happen you need to make a connection with someone, there's no point going into this if you can't stand the person your bonded to lol, I want to form a friendship as well as a marriage, if you want to go on raids let's do it, sit by a fire I'm there... Take a break from FF and KILL SOME ZOMBIES don't need to ask me twice... Or you had a bad day and just need someone to talk to IRL my ears are ALWAYS open ������

Yeah I never took it seriously myself when I posted and figured my post was kinda clear on that with my joking answers. I had 2 respond on discord and they were taking it really seriously.

Got the same experience but in another game

Like I was playing Aura Kingdom at one point and that game's marriage system was a tad too convoluted so at one point I was talking with someone I just met and was like "bro wanna try marrying lol?", mainly because I wanted to see just how horrible the grind would be to finally reach a point to be able to marry

Weeelllll turns out the person I asked to did not think of it as a joke and we went from complete strangers to a couple in less than single day and she was talking about it to her friends already. I pretended to like her for about 2 weeks but frankly I was losing interest in the game and just couldn't keep lying to myself so ended up ghosting


Moral is: people, going from nobodies to a couple in less than 3 days is not gonna work out lol

Eh, I'm just a person. But people have weird expectations.

Example: Today, someone added me (nearly a month after my post) on Discord in the middle of a work day, then got mad because I didn't give them a reply before the evening. And added a veiled shot at this somehow making me flakey. If not replying during a work day makes someone unreliable, most people probably are.

All in all, this isn't the best place to find people.

Hard concept, but you can generally let people know you're working and will reply late or something in similar line.

What happened? Someone sent you a friend invite on discord and you accepted it then you just didn't talk to them? Did you say hey Im at work talk later? I mean seriously you are complaining about this when it sounds like you are the one that needs to learn basic communication skills. Your post from over a month ago that you left up unlike literally everyone else in the thread who removed theirs if they didnt need it, could also be taken down so again this seems more like a YOU problem.

In her defense I can be so swamped with work with a series of things that I wouldn't even notice I got a message. I've had people freak or pull a total 180 just cause I didn't respond in 5 minutes. People DO be weird.

No one is really owed a response. Being rude at someone for not responding when you want them to is a bad way to go. Be patient, live your life, and if the person you reached out to responds to you, then cool. If they don't respond to you, also cool.
