    Good ol' Jimbo for trials.

We wipe once. People had been dying left and right to AoEs before that, but I think it was the Splitter bait Greg does near the end that got both our healers, and then the SMN. Either way, nbd some people were new to the trial and others just didn't recall its mechanics, since it doesn't come up that often in roulette.

After the wipe, though, our SAM starts yelling about people stacking the moon orb things. You know, the things that make donut AoEs. Which was what kept killing people, because they weren't stacking them and thus left very little room to escape or stand in a safe spot.

I mention that it's better to try and stack at least 2~3 of them in order to minimize danger zones and provide a better safe spot for people to stand in. SAM yells that no, they do damage before becoming donuts, and that's what kept killing him.

Me, having watched him getting caught in the donut overlaps and eating dirt every time like: sure buddy.

We had SCHs, btw! Who always had Adlo shields up! And I had stacked with at least one or two others each time for moon orbs, and you know how much damage we all took when I did?

    0!

If not 0, then miniscule enough to not even register to me when I glanced over at HP bars.

You know what was actually killing people? Too many donut AoEs spread out too far and leaving almost no safe areas except on the outer sides of the arena! And also the tank not moving Gregjimbo out of the electric orbs sometimes.

You know what wasn't killing people? The tiny little AoE that the moon orbs do before turning into donuts!

Maybe next time don't yell at people to do a mechanic even worse than before just because you think someone standing on you is what was killing you, and not you just being crap at moving out of the bad.

Oh boy, spicy. We had a pretty awesome RDM though helping there.

(That's the second Castrum run too where the stunnable boss has been dragged allllllllll the way to the exit of that area rather than being tanked on the ramp)
If done properly, you can lock the giants outside the arena....sadly most tanks see someone being attacked by Livia, and go straight for her thinking they can provoke her off the person. If a tank keeps the giants just outside the barrier(even keeping themselves outside it) and everyone else is on the line/outside, with the person being attached inside(barely) they get locked out.

This of course requires people to not want that 50-52 gil for killing the two giants

I feel like the effort involved to save about a minute for killing them is a bit out of whack

If you even save time. Most of the time I've seen someone attempt this a cannon/ Magiteck Loader got damaged by the mega line cleave and it took even more time because now we had to wait for them to respawn.

It definitely requires finesse and people to be on the ball, but it definitely doesn't save that much time, unless you are killing them right at the barrier after Livia is pulled with two people going to start the claws. And even then it relies on luck to not have the massive line AoE target those two people.

Mentor roulette gave me a bunch of people new to Ramuh extreme. After an initial briefing, I start a countdown and just as it's about to go off, a newbie apologized because their food delivery has arrived. There's no stopping people at that point, so off we went. After about 40 minutes of beating heads into the wall and never getting a single add down, the duty was abandoned.

I can understand if people have to stop for bathroom breaks and such, but why are people queueing food delivery and roulettes around the same time? It feels a bit rude. Take the time to wait for and enjoy your food, people.

Also, why is Duty Finder still a thing for EX trials? They need to go back and adjust these quests for unlocking them, so they just unlock the quest is done. It would be a great spot to promote use of Party Finder. People seldom know what lies ahead and can't seem to grasp the concepts laid out by whatever mentor gets a bad roll on roulette.

When your R key betrays you in O11 and makes you run into the pools near the end of the dps check despite clearing the pillars.

Today I lived throgh TB as SMN. Tank died in Smileton on first boss (wasn't paying much attention, as they said), so boss targeted me for buster. Thank god for SCH and my own shieds.
Was a kinda bumpy run, WAR lost aggro on trash a little to easy for my taste. But noone died from that, so all good.

Tonight I met quite the duo - a BRD that never sang and a WHM that never DPS'd.
It was a VERY long and numbing Tower of Babil run.

Wow, played Elden Ring and Cyberpunk 2077 last week and also this week so I was late to P1-3S clear ( probably no P4S this reset ).
And I was kinda freaking out because it's yet another week I didn't clear until so late, and yeah my experience getting a P3S last time was beyond horrible.

Having a Duty Complete group is such a difference it's crazy, sure it wasn't perfect ( tanks plz provoke if you die, or dps gets auto-attacked to death by birds. Happened three times ).
But it usually only take like 1-3 pulls and it's normally done it's such a weight off my shoulders.
Double gloves dropped in P2S, I rolled 5 on the first because ofc I did and I was like here we go again with my 1-40 rolls.
But nope I won the second gloves, got enough books to upgrade accessory and then I won the weapon upgrade to 600 in P3S and another pair of gloves that I'll probably use as a placeholder on SAM and grab another Radiant piece instead on it.

Feels like my bad luck and headaches from last week in P3S paid off a little.
