In a dungeon, ranged/caster LB is good for big pulls with lots of mobs. In most cases, an LB will rip off a third or more of all of their health, speeding you along to the next boss. Mind you, some people will whine about it anyway, because they think LB should only be used on a boss. But in 4-player content when you never get the third LB bar anyway, it really doesn't do enough to matter.I used LB once in my early days in game not really knowing what it did and got screamed at in the dungeon so I took it off my bars. Then years later doing Prae (before it got changed) the tank told me to use LB to pull Nero. I had to find it an put it back on my bar to do it. Fortunately the group was kind about it.
I generally dont use it except to finish off a boss at the end of a dungeon because I really never have sorted out when its ok to use and when not. Mind you I mostly play ranged DPS.
In 8-player content, if it's not one of the handful of duties that require a tank LB3 to survive (Alexander Prime, Seat of Sacrifice, Endsinger......might be missing one? Still, doesn't come up a lot, if I forgot one I blame the migraine), then it tends to get left till the end of the fight just as a safety net in case a healer LB3 is needed. So you're better off keeping an eye on the party and learning to gauge if they'll need it to clear or not.
TY I will try to remember this.In a dungeon, ranged/caster LB is good for big pulls with lots of mobs. As someone who has a history of headaches and migraines...I find that Excedrin does good work. Follow that up with eating something and maybe a hot shower. Lots of water helps to in an attempt to unrestrict the blood vessels.

The real problem is that I'm also on a blood thinner, so I have to watch what I take with it. Usually I can just stubborn my way through it, but today's was bad enough that I had to leave work three hours into my shift. Which meant I also had to walk a supervisor through when and how to turn off the pit furnace, because the only supervisor who actually knew how the thing works left a couple months back, so now it's just me and the maintenance guy, who's on vacation this week.
Well, if she remembered to do it, the job'll be done tomorrow, and if not, the building will probably be on fire. Either way.
Dead Ends from Roulette, as a SCH.
WAR for some reason accidentally removed their Bloodwhetting hotkey and only realizes so at 2nd half of Ra-la. No big deal
Thanks for making my roulette somewhat interesting, for once.
I must've terribly bad (good) luck then, because those sort of chaotic ARs rarely happens if I'm queued in as RDM/SMN/Healer/Tanks. Game really knows when to hit me the hardest ;_;
Lapis Manulis. Summoner casting egis without demis, never saw bahamut or phoenix. I think they were at the tail end of the MSQ without ever unlocking summon bahamut. . .
Wanderer's Palace. Know it all mentor kept backseat tanking and telling me I went the wrong way (I went an optimal way to pull everything and group in 1 area). Mentor said I am wrong, they are a premade of 3. And I said I am correct.
Kicked me.
Reported their asses. I'm glad I'm done doing dailies for the manderville's current update. NA Duty finder people are insufferable.
A couple days ago, I set a new record on an alt for LoTA's Behemoth boss: 3 wipes because NONE of the tanks wanted to grab the giant adds, followed by your traditional wipe on the last boss' Ancient Flare. The next day I had 1 wipe to the trash before Behemoth (please tanks don't keep the Vassagos THAT close to the bomb), and 3 wipes to Behemoth because apparently the giants carry germs. I have no hope for these tanks.
Today I got some salt in CF that, despite people in my party having 90s and the savage gear to prove it, would repeatedly die on bosses because 'what are mechanics?'. My co-drg obviously got upset when I stopped giving him my Twizzler and gave it to the bard that actually did mechanics, unlike the reaper and dancer. Yes, dancer dance-partnered the reaper that died the most and wouldn't change partners.
Gee, I can't wait for 6.5 so that way you guys that prefer to cheese the ilvl roulette so much to get braindead CT will actually have to *gasp* put in effort to actually learn how to do mechanics in that patch!
This one is beyond your help. Only sleep can save her now.
You always get such interesting raids. I think I need to team up with you for a day so I can experience some of your stories first hand!
