Had a very painful run of expert roulette last night. Queued up as DNC. Got Lapis Manalis. Partnered with another DNC, PLD, and WHM. Figured we would just melt trash with our 4 dances and AoE combos....well, when I chose the other DNC as my dance partner they chose the PLD. So I said screw it, and chose the WHM(best decision I made since the other DNC was outside of AoE range 99% of the time during the pulls and WHM was inside the pulls using Holy). Full packs took forever to die due to this, since they were single targeting and jumping around(whatever keeps them focused, but at least be in AoE range!) away from the mobs. When they died on a boss, they never reused Standard Step until the NEXT pack. They even let it get down to 10-15 seconds remaining before the buff falls off and were constantly(even when they weren't just ressed) 4th on the enmity list. It hurts my soul when I see a DNC not even using half their kit, and letting the dance buff fall off or not using it when it is available

Did a run of Il Mheg on my RDM. Tank didn't AoE and us DPS died due to aggro on first pack. Tank claimed there was no damage so we should focus on one mob instead of all. Of course there was no damage since we died due to tank not holding aggro. Dead DPS do no DPS.
Tank got petulant when we (all three of us) told him how to tank properly so packs can be AoE'd down by the DPS without aggro issues. Was reluctant to accept advise, told him I got a lvl 90 tank, so have experience tanking so my advise isn't just willy nilly (also a mentor), immediately got told I got an ego.

Tank was a sprout who did the dungeon for the first time. Sure buddy, you know better.

Had a new tank try to ignore all the mechanics in Amaurot (ignored and died multiple times to a bunch of mechanics, including the big AoE falling Walls as well). It's the first time I saw a tank trying their best to die in each part of the fight by walking into every visible AoE possible.

Did you know, in the Final Boss, where if you fail the Therion Charge (proximity AoE), assuming you haven't died because you're a tank, you get marked with doom? The tank also stepped in fire after the charge, so that was pretty funny to watch. The first time it happened, I had less than 3 seconds on doom to top them off from half HP to remove the debuff. They also got a vulnerability stack from it. I had 2 addersgalls for a Taurochole and Druochole so I managed to save them. The second time it happened, the entire party was taking damage and failing mechanics altogether, so I had only one addersgall ready. Tank immediately died to doom after choosing to step into the fire after because my addersgall can't heal them to full when they ticked down and I already spent my instant healing abilities trying to patch up everyone else for staying in the AoE beams.

There was no wipes, but that was certainly an interesting dungeon run.

To the sch I just had on my alt drk in Bardam's Mettle:

1. Stop spamming Physick. It's absolutely useless as a heal. Your shields will do much better, especially since you were spamming Physick for 90% of the duty.
2. You have Emergency Tactics to get a double heal out of your shields, and can be used every 15 seconds.
3. Stop spamming Physick.
4. Excog the tank, not yourself. It does nothing when it's on the wrong target.
5. Stop spamming Physick.
6. Hit your Sprint. Sprint as a tank helps mitigate damage, and it keeps you up with the tank that hit sprint. You're going to see this a ton in higher levels, get used to it.
7. Stop spamming Physick.
8. You have Aetherflow that can be used for either Sacred Soil, Excog, or Lustrate. Please make better use of it.
9. Stop spamming Physick.
10. Art of War. Use it in packs instead of spamming Broil. Your aoes do more damage than you realize and could have saved us a wipe.
11. Stop spamming Physick.
12. Lots of tanks will not single-pull and will often w2w. You're going to have to get used to it.
13.Stop spamming Physick.
14. Saying 'our tank has somewhere to be' when I hit Sprint and calling me cringe when I try to motivate the party after a wipe that your Physick-spamming caused is a very poor attitude to have. Drop the poor attitude now or get kicked in the future.
15. STOP. SPAMMING. PHYSICK.

Especially on a DRK, you don't even have TBN at that level!

Also, that snark... I'd just reply with "Yes, I have an appointment with a proper healer".

Did they at least have the fairy out? Did they press the fairy's buttons? Did they use Place?

Sadly they would either eat the fairy just for Aetherflow or let Selene heal me often with Embrace, but only twice did I see them use Whispering Dawn the entire run. I doubt they even had Aetherflow on their hotbar.

It would be really hard to disagree with that. In my opinion, DRK between 50 and 70 is the weakest tank on the defensive side and by a significant margin.

You still have the other CD, but in term of self healing, PLD and WAR are doing significantly better because of Clemency or Raw Intuition.

So yeah, I can understand the headaches caused by such a healer

As funny as that comic is, sch still shouldn't ever spam Physick in a high-level duty with 80-90% mp remaining to sustain a tank that's having to double-stack defensive cooldowns just to survive. I can only do so much as a drk to cover terrible healers with bad attitudes.

Though now that I think about it, your character looks exactly like the bun sch I had that day.
