Found a really nice EX4 PF group today for once and promptly failed multiple times and caused 2 wipes off the bat before dropping in shame. Apologies to that group, EX4 is just beyond me.

You know, I probably should've told the Paladin in my party to read his tooltips in that Shisui dungeon. At least then, they would realize Divine Veil doesn't give them a shield when they tried to use Clemency, so the shield would be worthless anyway. Though, after seeing them use Clemency when they reach half HP and haven't used a single mitigation before then... I kind of want to see them panic a bit more before they realize they aren't playing WAR. After all, I'm not getting any value on Excogitation if their HP doesn't drop at least to half HP and my Fairy's Whispering Dawn + Embrace gets wasted from being topped off.
Bonus points to the RDM who decides to dualcast vercure multiple times on the tank and think I didn't notice it. As for how I noticed a dualcasted vercure, if the Divine Veil shield activates and it wasn't the PLD or the healer who activated it with a GCD heal, hehe.
I think they might have started regretting activating the shield when they started actually taking damage after the shield expired and came close to dying when failing the Abyssal Volcano mechanic. Of course, they weren't in any danger of dying since I'd keep them alive regardless of what kind of AoEs they eat in that dungeon. The Veil shield doesn't make enough of a difference anyway since it will require a lustrate / indomitability / Whispering Dawn to make sure both DPS live through it with their gear. However, if they want to cast some GCD healing while I'm alive, I don't mind skirting the line on maintaining their HP a bit lower each time ... After all, I practiced enough to fully understand where their "1 HP" is at, so watching their HP dip lower and lower is also a bit of an amusement when they don't have enough faith in my healing capability.
Just completed Eden's Promise: Eternity for the first time tonight and OH MY GAWD I nearly had a heart attack! Things were actually going pretty smoothly until the second half of the battle where Eden's Promise starts stocking two primal abilities at once, and it all went to hell. I was struggling to remember what each AoE even did, and didn't even get a chance to see what she was storing up half the time because I was so focused on healing and reviving people NON STOP. Not a single party member didn't die at SOME point, including a moment when BOTH TANKS and the other healer went down all at once. The DPS roster was pretty much a revolving door of revives and re-revives and re-re-revives. There was never a single instant that wasn't a red alert, emergency crisis. It felt like 10 solid minutes of drowning in constant panic. Legit probably lost a year off my lifespan from the stress. To the other healer who used LB3 to bring all of us back at one point: thankyou! I would not have had the mental RAM to even think of that. You da real MVP!
I almost fell into that trap when I first got the ability, too. To be fair, "all party members" sounds like it should include me. After all, I AM a member of the party, right? Thankfully I tested it out to see if I got the barrier, if only because D&D has taught me to scornfully mistrust "common sense" in game rules. Otherwise I would have been that Paladerp thinking I have an extra damage mitigation.
Funniest thing that happened to me was I went into Chrysalis on DRK. I main tanked Nabriales, everything was fine, we get to the triple tankbuster. I roll Dark Mind and still had Shadow Wall rolling from Double, and the healers already topped me back up. I'm ready, chief, bring it on.
Then Paladin cotank provokes. While not rolling a single cooldown. Nabriales turns around, deletes this poor Paladin from existence, then returns to me. I actually guffawed out loud, it was hilarious.
Paladin bro, if you ever read this, know you made a cynical old man smile and that means more for me than any roulette has for a while. Thank you, and I hope you're doing well <3
I was healing Abyssos sixth circle, fight goes completely fine until five seconds to the end, tanks get their markers and instead of clicking Haima, I press rescue and killed myself. Big sad.
Once had a co healer in alexander normal raid (the robot with the big arms in the middle) who rather did damage than heal or rezz ppl, letting me do all the work. After reminding him of his actual job i got something like: " im playing the proper way instead of being a little bitch" and left with his little entourage (2 bad ddler). We quickly filled up and did the boss without any probs after that. Had to laugh at that entitlement![]()
My DF encounters are wholesome.

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
Refurbisher in raid roulette. First go is the normal routine, adds not getting positioned properly and causes a wipe. Some people drop, we refill.
Second try, we get through the first phase, then Faust comes in.....and the off-tank doesn't bother to move him out of the lava, despite having almost half of his HP left, and he blows up and kills us. Then the tank tries to blame it on the DPS being too low. Then the tank drops.
Then it takes long enough to refill that I zoned out and the ready check startled me.
Went smooth the third time, though.
I had another of what is probably one of my most common pf experiences
random party member: *stubs their toe or something and fails a mechanic once*
other party member :OH MY GOD THIS GROUP WILL NEVER CLEAR I'M LEAVING!!*quits*
look I'll be honest if you truly hate wasting your time why are joining pf parties?. wasting time is kind of the normal state of affairs there
becoming my enemy would be unwise
