Yes, absolutely... its starting to happen more and more and its annoying.
...and I'd say once 6-7 people rolled you get a 15 sec and then you'll auto pass AND loose lockouts for that week.

1 minute seems too low with the rush-rush-rush attitude most people have. Timers are set to accommodate players like myself - relatively new to the game, leveling characters, maybe with an alt, who doesn't always know what they need.
So my options are quickly need or greed everything, or take a look at the loot to see what's being offered.
And if I'm the tank, I suffer dirty looks from people wanting me to speed up.
3 minutes might be better; I haven't checked. 1 is way too short.
No its not too low, you should go in having an vague idea what you want. And if its gear you havent seen yet you dont need 3 min to compare.
By now ive must lost HOURS to trolls and stallers who wanted some certain loot and hoped ppl would just leave. And on a human level, trolling and stalling both is just trash behavior.
i question the people you play with because i've played probably 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for several years at this point and outside of ivalice triple triad cards i don't think i've ever had someone wait the full length of time like that for anything that couldn't be easily obtained by just running again or purchasing a better version of it on the mb.No its not too low, you should go in having an vague idea what you want. and since cutscenes would take too long the only thing square could do is just force not allowing people to open chests until everyone's completed the cutscene which is the same issue except now they have the excuse of a cutscene to rely on instead of just idling for 5 minutes.

Nah.
I *would* suggest that it be possible to vote-kick someone during a loot timer if they're actually offline though.
Or (possibly) if the vote against them is unanimous.
I could see this being abused, sadly. It's one of those things that would work fine in the right hands, but not so much in the wrong hands.
1 seems way too short. I could see it lowered to 3 without causing too many problems. Though to be honest, I don't run into a lot of problems with it where it is. Like someone said, if you roll and then say you're going afk, that usually gets people to roll since they know they're going to end up waiting the entire time.
I personally don't think the loot timer needs to be any longer than 2 minutes; that's more than enough time to use the search features in the Orchestrion and Minion Guide, the Item Comparison option, or to look up what you're wearing on another job.
However, the problem with vote kick isn't the loot timer. As I've said before in Thread: Arena Lock Teleport In and Trolls, the actual problem is that we can't initiate vote kicks during combat or when loot is in the pool. The way it should work is that we should be able to vote someone out but the kick wouldn't take effect until after combat and loot locks are cleared.
This is a problem, but the thing that makes it a bigger problem is that we can't kick people during combat or while loot is rolling. All other things being perfect, you would be able to kick someone who was griefing the party like this. What we really need is improvements to the kick system:
- Allow initiation of a kick even during combat or while loot is available.
- If the party is currently in combat, save the results of the vote until after combat has ended.
- If the end of combat results in a treasure coffer, save the results until the coffer has been opened.
- If a coffer has been opened, save the results of the vote until loot has been distributed.
- Kick the person.
That way problem players who deserve to be removed can't use combat and loot as shields to continue to grief the party.

5 is fine, but 3 minutes as the lowest.
What would be more beneficial for me is an option to "Manual" / "Default Greed" / "Default Pass".

2 - 3 minutes max, 5 is way way too much.
