If you think this takes too much time you should probably quit now, it only gets worse. Why must I complete the quests of all three companies to be accepted into the one that I want? It's pointless. The three quest lines are nearly identical, that mage guy's dialogue is even recycled. In fact, if you want to join the Maelstrom, you have to sabotage an operation that you later are sent to oversee, after you've already sabotaged it, creating a weird time-space contradiction. The whole thing is maddening! I've been trying to power through it because I want my chocobo, but the gauntlet of boring identical quests makes me want to claw my eyes out. Please everyone sign this thread. Make this madness stop!

It's really not that bad, once you get your goobbue you can pretty much burn thru them all in a few hrs tops. Just think we had to slowga-run it, and some of us without a lvl 50 at least yoshi gave you newbies a goobbue to get this crap done faster. Its really not so bad in the long run either. earn up your seals from each nation and stock up on lower lvl supplies or gear from each one.
lols, forget the goobbue, just go buy some gil from an RMT, buy alot of kidney ore, and teleport every where, once your anima gets low, just turn in the ore and refill. It's really not that bad, once you get your goobbue you can pretty much burn thru them all in a few hrs tops. on a serious note, even with all the repeatative bs, this game is FAR easier to acomplish quests and takes way less time or effort then xi, personally I enjoyed the bragging rights after finishing a quest or attaining a lvl that took months to get to, unlike now where you can cap all battle jobs in a month .

The good news of the whole mess is, buying up supplies at the other GC's that way you can save the seals from the one you wish to join for a chocobo. Personally I used the seals to buy up a bunch of higher level arrows to save time when i go to level ARC. On the other side the gear i believe is faction locked meaning that if you picked up some armor/weapons from Twin Serpents and joined Maelsrom you cannot wear the TS gear.(?) I may be wrong on the last part.
The worst part of the repeat quests is the fact you have to run so damn far in other cities territories that it gets time consuming when all you want is your Chocobo.
However if the producers are to be believed, recycling is going out the window in 2.0.

know what else is repatitive , borring, and everyone must do it to play the game? Grinding XP.... SE should remove this too, while we are at it, I dont want to have to do anything to get the nice gear drops, SE should give us NPCs in wich we task to do all the content for us and personaly deliver the drops to our personal castles. Dont know about you guys, but I dont pay for this game to sit here and play it.

I didnt mind touring all 3 grand companies but I wouldn't mind seeing the option to switch to another grand company for a price and a time penalty.
Cutscenes are skippable. Anima warping is quick. The airship is cheap. Deal with it.
