I've been doing the Asphodelos raids with my static and it baffles me how poorly designed The Third Circle is. Most of the mechanics are okay, but Heat of Condemnation is just so awful. So awful. Mind you, I don't raid as a tank, I'm doing these raids on SMN, and I'm just tired of how the tethers work in this fight. Every mechanic in P3S is quite challenging, which I love. I love having a challenge in this game, that's why I do Savage raiding.

If you have never done The Third Circle before, the way Heat of Condemnation works is that two tethers are placed upon random members who aren't Tanks. Both Tanks have to take the tethers, and everyone has to stay still. What makes it poorly designed is that tanks can steal each other's tethers.

We had a run where the tanks took their tethers, but our PLD moved ever so slightly closer to our WAR and takes the WAR's tether, causing their tether to move onto a random DPS and wipe the party. Everything else in the fight is fairly and reasonably challenging, like the add phase and stuff like Firestorms of Asphodelos. The tethers being able to be stolen by both tanks from each other makes no challenge, it makes the fight annoying.

I don't know if everyone else who has been progging or has cleared this fight share the same sentiments as I do, but for me P3S has been the most annoying fight this tier.
