New world XP bonus (for character transfer)

I just read that we are currently getting an XP bonus for transfering to a new world server (that will be the oceanic servers). Since im currently not bound at all with my current server, this feels very tempting for leveling alt jobs.

Since im from Europe (playing on an EU server) I wonder If i will notice any ping issues moving to the oceanic servers?

It sais the boosts only counts for 90 days and till lvl80. I guess this is per job right? So when one job passes level 80 i will not get the XP bonus on that job anymore. But switching back to a lower level job will enable the bonus again?

Anyone got any idea what the most spoken languages are on the new ocean servers?

Some of the people may be from Australia and New Zealand and speak English. I don't know about the rest.

The ping won't affect much except Abilities, PVP and chocobo racing. When you press an ability between the GCD it can take a lot longer to activate and delay the GCD. It's unlikely that would prevent you clearing any challenging content, but it doesn't feel good. It can be annoying when trying to use Swiftcast and Raise together. PVP and chocobo racing suffer because your actions do not register when you press them, but when they reach the server and then you don't see them activate until they reach you again.

It doesn't really affect anything else and you get used to it.

Ping - It'll very likely increase. By how much and will it meaningfully affect you, who knows? Maybe a create an alt on an oceanic server and try it.

Exp boost - Correct. The buff will vanish once you pass level 80 but come back if you switch to a lower level job.

Language - English is likely as many (possibly most) players will be from Australia and New Zealand. That may be something that changes and settles over time though as communities form and people from certain countries gather on certain servers.

Language shouldn't be an issue, when I was in my WoW obsessive phase Aussies and kiwis were a big part of my guild. One of the reasons why I initially retired was due to a the super guild breaking up due to so many people leaving for Oceanic servers that were closed to home and would have better performance for them. Some of the nicest people I've ever met are from that region, and you should have an easy time if you play there.

One word of advice though, if the Aussies ever start going off about how tough they are due to their deadly environment and all of that stuff, gently remind them that their military was defeated by a bunch of Emus.
