I'll be the wet blanket and say... none of them.
Never have liked them since the trend started of added them in the Guild Wars 1 Era of MMOs. Visual clutter that serves no purpose and most of the time look out of place in game.

My current buddy is the Golden Dhyata because it reminds me of an episode of Ancient Aliens and all the silliness associated with that show.
Midgardsormr's been my constant companion since Heavensward.
I really love Wind-Up Bahamut, both because you don't see him around often, and because the fact that he wears the leftover remains of Wind-Up Dalamud as a hat is wonderful.
Plus, the way he and Wind-Up Louisoix will fight if both are out in an area is great.
The Wind-Up Tonberry will actually attack things when you're in combat out in the field. It does no damage, of course, but it'll sometimes run up and start enthusiastically stabbing whatever you're fighting.
Really, I suppose I just love any of the minions with little hidden interactions with each other or the world. Wind-Up Bahamut and Wind-Up Louisoix, as mentioned above. Wind-Up Sadu and Magnai quarreling and starting to fight. Wind-Up Omega-M/Omega-F/Alpha, where the Omegas will do their combat animations and then Alpha walks over and waves cheerfully, and they both just stare at him for a long moment before going back to their fight-y poses. Wind-Up Runar kneeling down to offer Brave New Y'shtola a tiny flower. Etc.
I aim to make my posts engaging and entertaining, even when you might not agree with me. And failing that, I'll just be very, VERY wordy.Originally Posted by Packetdancer

Either Wind-up Yotsuyu to rep my fav, or the Axolotl Eft. I'd like to get my hands on the Starbird and Caduceus minions (for the same reasons as Yotsuyu), but I foresee... a terrible amount of grinding in my future...
lore nerd, progging endgame gpose and glamour (savage)
I love the ones that sit on your shoulder. I wish we could have a little more interaction with them, so if you pet them or pat them they would react in some way. For the cute furry animals they could purr or wag a tail or snuggle. For the human minions they could do something funny like brandish a sword at you, or smirk. Some type of interaction. I realize it would have to be limited to a timed or only your character would see the reactions. Same for mounts.
Enjoy Life you only get one.
Anima. That way when I'm a SCH, I can have 2 fairies.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
Maaany of them but one that i absolutely love is the amaro hatchling *.*
