We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

I read this was the main thread, and yes I vote for full free-restriction of all gear to allow everything to have the glamour option.

I've read the actual dev reason why they didn't do this, but the immersion thing broke a long time ago (I've seen some really crazy things out there over the years).

i would just be happy if the devs realized that sometimes men also wear the armor sets, i'm so sick of frills and mini skirts and knee length cardigan sweaters (640 crafted caster set i'm looking at you)
i really enjoy playing my character as a male, and would like to not feel like i'm going on a rupaul show every time i want to equip a new armor set.

Once upon a time I might have disagreed, but these days, I can't really argue against it. If class-restricted armor isn't going to follow the visual archetype for that class, then it should be available to everybody. At this point, I base class-identification on the weapon someone is wielding rather than the armor they wear.

While we did not get any glamour restriction announcements during day 1 of the Fan Fest in Vegas, we are still getting a huge new glamour related update in 7.X.

That being multiple dye channels for all gear. Definitely a massive step in the right direction for glamour and fashion in XIV. And with this announcement we can hopefully put all the "technical limitations" theories that have been floating around glamour, to rest.

I don’t know why they still keep it locked. I know some people argue class identity as a reason to not remove the glamour lock, but at this point that ship has already sunk to the bottom of the sea lol

Add the ability to link hairstyles (and possibly facial hair and paint too) to glamor plates so that it's easier to have different outfits with varied looks. This is especially important for headgear, as many hairstyles simply get clipped.

Just another suggestion to a much needed glamor rework.
