Oh Forgerise Chestwrap... why do you have to be job locked...

If they already makes some liberties, why not change garnet orange outfit as well? They could've just not make it a leotard but keep the color and overall shape. If anything, I would recognize it more than the generic whm gear we will get.Guys you do realize the new tomestone set's designs are based directly off characters from FFIX? (The healer robe for example is literally a white mage robe Garnet wore early in FFIX's story, and the tank gear is clearly Steiner's 'rusty' armour, etc etc...), so they probably had to take some liberties to make things 'fit' (Garnet's odd orange leotard and peasant shirt combo design in FFIX though probably was considered too technically challenging to look right in FFXIV though, so that's why they probably went with the WHM robe instead). And Vivi's attire is already AF1 BLM gear anyway so yeah...).
And of course, we've long had Zidane's outfit already in the game as a Veteran Reward, so they've had to draw from other characters fill in the roster (it makes sense though that the tomestone gear has this form - what with Alexandria being part of DT's story and all).
They did for Sky Rat and Sky Pirate release an unlocked craftable version of the sets, it's curious they haven't done something like that again.
They only did that probably because that specific gear was gained through Diadem and after that content was permenantly removed from the game, it was just easier to do a replica set rather than set up some other way of gaining that gear (and also keeping a sembelance of 'exclusivity' for the real thing). So it was an exception rather than the rule.
Yes I know it's a lame excuse, but yeah, that's what SE chose and they're sticking to it.
Bumping this again. Unrestricted glamour is seriously needed in this game. Most other mmos have it, and it makes them way better. FFXIV would benefit tremendously from unrestricted glamour as well.
This isn't even the newest gear but can you guess which one is Fending and which one Healing ?... Oh wait, they're literally the same thing, except slightly recolored.
But we wouldn't want the Healers to look like tanks am I right ?

Bumping again, because i'm really sad the only two tops in the game that look like they're from cyberpunk 77 with those amazing neons collars are only for tanks and reaper/dragoon!
i'm starting to be very frustrated to see very good gears locked behing jobs i don't play (at some point i have to chose), on top of never seeing those specific crafting jobs gears or gathering job gears on people, because no one ever waste a glamour plate for that!
We all know it's possible to make a gear "all classes" since we already have some from old extentions (especially ARR and HW), so why did SE chose to stop doing that ?
I don't think i'm wrong, when unrestricted glamour is one the most popular demand from the player base, even in other games such as wow, and i still don't understand why they still don't listen!
They have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

Exactly! I'm seeing a lot of other posts all over different social media platforms calling for unrestricted glamour as well! It would be a very popular decision!Bumping again, because i'm really sad the only two tops in the game that look like they're from cyberpunk 77 with those amazing neons collars are only for tanks and reaper/dragoon!

DoH and DoL outfits are so amazing but their potential is squandered imo. It would be a dream come true to be able to use them on combat jobs.
Oh the possibilities...
I would LOVE to see this as well! Some of the gear could swap very easily and look amazing on other jobs! Like the Monk gear also works aesthetically for Samurai and Ninja, but they can't use it because Monk locked. There's a gorgeous western style scouting coat (I forget the name of it off-hand) that I'm crying over the fact I can't use on any other job!
Please Square, PLEASE, unlock the job specific gear! I know the intent was to be able to tell at a glance what job someone was, but that honestly flew right out the window the moment glamours were introduced. We might as well go the whole way now.
