Live letter is drawing closer. Since new PvP gear was announced on the patch site, I'm expecting another cool all-class armored glam. But really I'm looking through all news in the hopes Vanguard Fending gets a version that's not class-restricted.

We have seen the Alliance Raid gear, and while I like the looks of it, I'm expecting another Nier situation of half a dozen identical gloves taking up space because they can't be shared between separate roles.
Anyone else hoping the new Outfit Glamours system might bend the rules for class-locked sets in the future? It was said it will focus on lvl 1 sets at first, but if they're expanding it to higher-level sets later on, that would probably be the most logical place to implement all-class usage of them.
Also, also- was it just me, or did the enemy Thaumaturge in the new Hall of the Novice footage wear the Chivalric/Adamantite Coat of Fending or Maiming? Tsk tsk.

LMAO you might be right about the instructor THM using a fending/maiming coat. A cannon (proto) black mage in armor!Anyone else hoping the new Outfit Glamours system might bend the rules for class-locked sets in the future? At the very least, it is nice to see some sort of improvement to the dresser. They could also potentially make it so collecting a full set in the dresser removes the job/role restrictions.Anyone else hoping the new Outfit Glamours system might bend the rules for class-locked sets in the future? Bumping this, hopefully they make the new pvp sets universal class glam at the very least.
Sincerely couldn’t agree more. Keep Artifact gear as job-locked for the sake of ‘identity’ and allow cross-class glamours. Desperately want this.
I actually can't even agree with Artifact gear being class locked, simply because so many bits and pieces from Artifact gear that look amazing, the EW DNC headpiece is simply one of the best hair ribbons in the game(personally I prefer the Thavnairian Ribbon in terms of style, but for some Twelve forsaken reason the glam piece that takes almost 400 FATEs to earn is undyeable, so the DNC one ends up being better), and SCH simply has so many cute skirts as their leg pieces, the concept of visual "class identity" is a complete joke anyway.
You can be a full team of baseball players beating down Gaius. With the Wolf Mark Greatclubs for bats, you could complete the look!
But Black Mage in armor is what breaks immersion.
People would probably be complaining less about a lack of 'fantasy' glams if they could utilize all the 'fantasy' gear from all the previous expansions, but they can't because all that 'fantasy' gear is role locked when it comes to glamor.
Please remove these restrictions.
