We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

You can already run around in plate armor as any jobs thanks to PVP rewards. I think even the ShB MSQ gives you heavy armor for all roles as glamour. His point is build on a wrong premise

Said this in a previous post, but It makes me think if YP is actually oblivious to this or he actually forgot that it's possible. Sometimes he mentions surprise to an issue that we'd otherwise think that it was VERY obvious, like MCH being unable to be properly played at 150ms ping.

Wanting to give him the benefit of doubt, I imagine it's possible he indeed forgot about the many examples given here since he likely has a million more things in mind at all times. Which is why feedback threads like this are important, and hopefully can be brought to attention so he realizes how it's not a true statement for several years now.

+1. Please Yoshi-p, if Deryk NPC-man can wear a hat of casting and a wristband of fending while being an aiming job, we should be allowed to as well!!!

Taking a walk around Old Sharlayan and see guards wearing caster coats and pld swords and getting jealous. It's also a bulkier outfit that looks to offer more protection than the Gunbreaker starting gear which isn't a cosmetic glam being used for silliness, it's actual tank gear along with stuff like the cloth set from Pandaemonium tier one.

Yeah, it's so frustrating that NPCs are afforded more freedom than players as to what gear they can use for their outfits.

Fully agree.

Job specific armor (artifact sets, starting gear for new jobs) should be exceptions. But your typical Fending/Maiming/Striking/Scouting/Aiming/Casting/Healing gear should 100% be glamable if A. your current job is high enough level for it, even if barred from equipping it and B. you DO have a job that CAN wear it leveled.

The whole 'casters should look like casters' thing went out the door years ago.

I have half a mind to put together some visual examples. But you can put a tank in skimpy shisui or sky rat armor. Glam tanks in bikinis and smallclothes. You can have healers and casters that look heavily armored. You have silly stuff like mog station character costumes, frog/pig costumes, holliday items etc that look goofy regardless of job.

I understand if this would be difficult to code and may take time to implement. But the idea of 'it might confuse people if a black mage showed up in armor' is ridiculous at this point. That ship sailed YEARS ago.

At this rate, people shouldn't ask like that anymore, and instead go something like:

"About amor glamour restrictions, back in <interview x> you said that a BLM looking like a tank would be strange to see, but we can already achieve that with many cosmetic options available, as well as the inverse of a tank looking like a caster. With that being said, can you clarify your point a bit more?"
