Bumpy bump, to remind every forum folks the one of actual issues/request in FFXIV, not those rage bait thread.
Similar glamming nightmare also happens when one tries to glam a Red Mage. How the WoL capable of doing all the backflips flawlessly with those dangling tableclothes is a mystery best unsolved, lol.
i see no reason in locking glamour behind roles/jobs anymore when 99% of people dress in all the same casual glams so they all wind up looking the same anyway
Really make you wondering if CBU3 design new class with our current equipment gear design in mind...
Or did CBU3 really expect everyone on Limsa wear either job glams or bikini glams, if that's the cast I can see why they half-hearted gear design.
I for one has noticed the gear design shift happened at the start of ShB, and then gear "homogenization" happened at EW where the most EW gear look kinda similiar to each other.
I'm fine with gear being locked to particular classes yes, that allows the devs to not put too much focus into specific class gear sets (other than the one per expansion they already get) so that they can make other content for the game. I would have a different opinion on this if there were so many good combinations already in the game for every class.So... you are fine with Dancer keep look like a Bard, or Red Mage keep getting long sloppy robe every time a gear is released?
Beside, can you really claim people like glam restriction when the option to remove it is non-existent at all?
It's like saying you love Soviet Union, but saying anything other than that will sent you to Gulag. So do you really love Soviet Union at all?
So why not remove glams restriction first, and SEE IF people really love glam restriction like you claimed?
What we advocate here is open up more option for glams, not destroy current option and replace it with new one.
You can remove it you just need to cheat to do so, which from what ive gathered on these forums is a non-issue even though i am completely against cheating.
Because once they remove class/gear identity to gear there would never be a "oops we are going to revert it" because then you would be making both camps upset. It is completely illogical to do that.
What you advocate for is more options which on its face is fine, however the more that everything is the same the less identity those things would then have. If you knew what was good for the game you wouldn't do this... or if you have ever played WoW and seen first hand what things like this lead to.
But yeah I won't be responding anymore so i don't keep this topic on the front page, let it die where it belongs.
So, are you suggesting that once glams restriction is removed, player will "optimize" the glam pieces to figure out what is the "best" fashion for a WoL, and soon enough everyone will copy and paste to follow the "best and optimize" fashionable glams set?I'm fine with gear being locked to particular classes yes, that allows the devs to not put too much focus into specific class gear sets (other than the one per expansion they already get) so that they can make other content for the game. Are you seriously think players will "min-maxing" the glams like they do with raid-meta?
Both Thavnair Bustier and 2B set is available to everyone, but I never seen a scenario where everyone is wearing either Thavnair Bustier or 2B set?
Have you played monster hunter world and rise...? I for haven't seen a scenario where everyone is wearing kirin armor set.

You really like to argue and flip-flop your positions and ideals based on the conversation.
Let alone use broadstrokes and paint all as opposition.
You can see it in you're assumptions that everyone is fine with cheating, or against. Fine with modding or against. Already do so, or never will.
People always ask for implementation, and unlike some who actually try to reasonably converse. You use Fruitless points as if they came from verifiable roots.
Ignore them(asides the obvious simple deconstruction of their structure less points)So, are you suggesting that once glams restriction is removed, player will "optimize" the glam pieces to figure out what is the "best" fashion for a WoL, and soon enough everyone will copy and paste to follow the "best and optimize" fashionable glams set?

Unlike games who allow themselves to devolve into one or two types. This game has many, and many more finding new ways to make homage or their own creative way to express themselves.
One actively tears at each other, one looks on with Judgement of Value.
They really only looking for conflict or simply put themselves in a position to say no.
Bring up the amount of posts this person has!
Why?
Because if we say they don't post enough or are new then we don't have to read what they say!
But what if they are right?
Naw just move the goalposts further out and disregard their posts, EZ.
Oooohhhh I see, get people that post a lot and that have been on these forums a long time on your side and then act like posting on the english forums of a japanese game matters at all anyway!
Now ya got it!
