We really should be able to glamour other jobs' sets

Wanting artifact sets to stay restricted is as ridiculous and nonsensical as any other set of gear.

If they're going to give me the "no restriction except keep AF sacred" as a compromise then I'd gladly take that over today's "hahaha nun's tablecloth for your forever :v".

This is exactly why I've worded it like that in the OP. It's stupid, but knowing SE they'd rather keep glamour restricted over giving us all the gear, so I'd rather they keep AF gear job-restricted if it means getting everything else (if they insist so hard on being "immersive" or whatever the hell really)

Yeah, I can't really see this as a feature mid expansion even if it turns out easy to do. They'd certainly save as a major selling point for a new one - and they probably know that even more given how praised a seeminly simple thing like 2 dye channels was.

Let's not forget that something like Crystalline Conflict was not at all a selling point of Endwalker, yet still remains one of the top new additions to XIV in the last few years. I genuinely think that unrestricted glamoour doesn't need to be announced on a fanfest and it could still randomly appear in a major patch. This and the fact that for a lot of players getting glamour restrictions removed would be considered something "meh" or just unimportant unlike it is for us glamour fanatics.

I was firmly in the "leave artifact gear seperate camp" but then i saw viper artifact gear. I cannot let such fine outfit be stuck with one job only.

Its not even just the whole set. Certain pieces in artifact gears can go well with other jobs to fit with the class fantasy anyway. Which is part of the crux of the argument with unrestricted glam anyway so people making such a weird hard line with AF gear being exempt of the rule is dumb

I don't even think that many people *really* feel that precious over artefact gear, it's like a bargaining tool to try to make the request for unrestricted glam as palatable as possible. At least that's why I always say it - I too have no real attachment to keeping artefact gear exclusive but it's an easy concession to make when pitching an idea to a chunk of people that can't think beyond "whm in plate mail will ruin my immersion"

Yeah but....its such a stupid and contrived bargaining chip. I think just the aspect of lifting role restrictions is already such a huge ask to begin with.

I would love it but..., I guess they won't. At least they could remove the restrictions for the job related gatherer and crafter glamour.

I mean..., some of that pieces are really awesome. But how should we use them? xD
We can't use them in any kind of content. It does not even work in the MSQ.

That's sad because they put effort into designing cool stuff that we can't really use because of the restrictions. I think of a botanist only piece, or an alchemist only piece, that come to my mind immediately. But there are much more!!!
SE, let us use it, please! ❤️
